How to start getting discounted or comped cruise, free play on Princess Cruise

I am a Caesars Seven Star and  have Black Card status at Wynn Casino.  I have been getting free cruises from Caesars Casino,  Casino at Sea and UR Comped.  I am trying to get discount cruise and free play on Princess in Japan and Asia.  I have never been on Princess and they don't know if I am a player.  I signed up the Princess players club and contacted a rep.  She is sending me some information on discount and free play.  What is your suggestion on getting discount and free play the 1st time on Princess.

I am not sure if you can get a free cruise/free play without taking a cruise, playing in the casino and getting yourself established.

We are taking our 13 cruise on Princess next month.  Our first was a 28 day "bucket" list cruise to Tahiti round trip out of LA.  That cruise got us free offers.

We currently are looking at a cruise on Holland America - which is a sister company to Princess - I am planning to call Holland to see if they will give us a discount passed on our Princess status - don't know if that will work, but I will try.

Everyone I know that gets discounts for gambling is an existing Princess cruiser and is an active spender in the casino.  You have to get yourself established first with a casino use track record before you'll see any discounts or benefits, at least of the magnitude you are suggesting.  Princess does not have any reciprocity agreements with land based casino resorts and their member programs.

Princess is a great line, and they have a great product.  I'd recommend buying your first cruise and establishing yourself in the casino.  I suspect that after this first cruise, they will make some offers to you after the cruise has ended for your next cruise.

It is possible with URComp.com.  I signed up, sent them copy of my my Caesar 7-Star card and Wynn Black card.  They started sending me list of free cruises.  The last one I took was a 12-day Hawaii cruise in May 2022 - balcony, free drink .......

Does anyone have contacts of Casino Host of Princess Casno hosts.  My contacts right now is a Cruise Rep?  I hate to pay full price for my 1st Princess cruise, knowing that I am a real casino player.

Fair enough.  Sounds like a partnership broker of sorts.  May also act as a travel agent to coordinate the link up between your resort memberships and the cruise lines.

I looked at the site and the pattern I see is that the cruise lines they work with are Virgin Voyages, MSC, and Royal Caribbean (and Celebrity which is owned by RCI).  I don't see any of the Carnival Corp. brands listed.  Princess is owned by Carnival Corp.

I'm not surprised by the brands I see on the site.  RCI's business model is very much into penetrating markets and always growing.  They have to, they have some of the most physically large ships at sea, they have to fill those cabins, so they have broad partnerships.  MSC is more European than North American, however they are making a huge push into the North American market, and again, partnerships benefit them in getting new customers in their cabins.  Virgin Voyages is a brand new mega ship line, so they also are looking to get their name out there and people into cabins, so having partnerships doesn't surprise me.  Virgin Voyages is also a "no kids" line, very adult oriented, so fits well with a casino membership program.

Carnival Corp. brands are much more insular.  My status with Princess does not translate to any other Carnival Corp. brand.  If I were to start cruising with HAL, I'd have to start at the bottom rung in their membership program and cruise my way up.  Another observation is that most Carnival Corp. brands do not do a lot of co-branding or themed cruises.  I've never seen Princess partner up to do a theme cruise, like a Star Trek fan cruise, or a 80s music cruise, or Star Wars fan cruise.  I'm not aware of much like that on HAL.  I think I've seen a bit of that on Carnival.  Each cruise line at Carnival is essentially operated as its own company with its own management style and they tend to do things their own way.  For better or worse.

Do you have a travel agent?  If not, this would be a good time to find one.  I think you'll have a better experience getting perks from Princess if you are working with a travel agent than working direct with Princess.  Also, the condition of the customer support lines at Princess is kind of shaky right now.  I've had 3 different Princess Cruise Consultants (or advisors, not sure what the official term is) assigned to me in the past 3 months.  I worked to book a cruise through the 2nd advisor I had and he was hard to get ahold of.  Two or 3 days to answer email.  At least a 24 hour turn around on phone calls, and I could never get him on the phone during the business day.  Haven't bothered to deal with the most recent person.

Your specific inquiries about your casino status and getting comped cruises from Princess would probably be best handled by a travel agent, not directly with Princess.

Princess status doesn't apply on Holland, sorry!

As others have said the best way to get offers is to play on a Princess cruise.  If you are Seven Stars, I'm guessing that your play will be enough to warrant an offer of a comped mini suite, free drinks / wifi / gratuities and a decent amount of free play on a subsequent cruise.  Those offers can be location-specific though as my offer from earlier this month didn't include Asia, Japan or Australia cruises and usually have a limited number of days.

One other thing you might look into.  Some Caesar's properties used to have promotions where you would get a free Princess cruise.  Haven't seen one of those for a while but I do know that the Palazzo does give those out quite frequently.  A friend (who doesn't play at the level of Seven Stars) keeps getting free balcony offers from Palazzo for Princess.  Maybe reach out to a host at Palazzo to see what they can do for you?  If you book one of those you'll qualify for more offers after sailing.

All of that said you may just get something through the contact you've made already.  They are pretty generous with their discount only offers and I wouldn't be surprised if you hear from them about that, especially if they are tuned into what one has to do to qualify for Seven Stars.

My Princcess contact is a Rep or cruise consultant.  She keeps saying pay the regular rate the first time, we'll rate you and send you offers after the trip.  I keep asking her for a Casinio host contact that I can talk to and try to get a casino player rate.  She is not giving me any phone numbers.

Do you deal with a cruise casino host?  For land casino, they usually assign a host to hep you.  Does anyone know any Princess Casino host?

Here’s the phone number for Princess Casino:  888-772-6697.  I call it when I’m booking a cruise—both for comped cruises and casino discounts.

I thought that you might have been in contact with the casino operations which is here:  https://oceanplayersclub.com/home/ .  There is a contact us option on this website and you might want to try to ask about offers that way.  Can't guarantee that they will be able to do anything for you but it's worth a try.

Thanks for the information.

My Cruise Advisor gave me this Princess Casino Number-  480-674-1989.  It took over an hour for them to call back.

I talked to someone.  He is going to check with Management to see what they can do to new client with strong Land Casino Status (Caesars 7-Star) and evidence of free cruises offers from their competitors.  I'll let you know the outcome.

It really helps to be able to talk to the right people who is a Princess Casino  staff.

Princess has an affiliation with Peppermill Reno’s players club (Passport Club). I’ve received two of vouchers in the past 6 months. If you are you platinum level you receive a free inside and diamond level for balcony on up to a 7 day cruise. This voucher is available for pick up during the month or December. I received the 2nd voucher via a mailing and it was for a balcony on cruises up to 10 days. In both instances you can upgrade for an additional fee.

Harrah's in Reno had closed already.  It is turning into apartments.  They might be doing it before.  Harrah's is part of Caesars and they work with Norwegian Cruise.  I had quite a few offers and accepted a few.  They also work with Casino at Sea.  NCL does not offer the Asian cruises I am looking for.

Thanks for the info.  I have never played at Peppermill becaise I can get comped rooms at Dorado and Silver Lagacy.  I'll check if they'll status match my 7-Star status like MGM, Wynn and other casino.

We did our first cruise with Princess using a voucher received from Harrah's Rincon.

Just a note offers seem to be not as great as before. We are getting offers for free balcony and $400 in free play. Before we were getting from $600 to $1,000 in the free play. We have always been able to upgrade to full suites for a price as long as there are some available

I was cleaning out my files and paperwork and came across some of the offers "in the past" that we had received.  Free balcony, plus package, $500 free play and lots of cruises to choose from.  I think it will be awhile before we get these offers again.  We have 3 cruises this year (2023) and will not book another until we get a "good" offer.

Some people are still getting great offers and they are the ones who play a lot.  The one below was a recent "snail mail" offer someone in a FB players club group reported getting just before Christmas.  He indicated that he had played to 37K points on his last (10 day cruise).  At $3 per point you can do the math on how much play you need to give them to get offers like this.

Princess works with Gold Coast in Vegas.  We received a flyer in November.  After playing certain number of tier credit, you can receive a cruise vouchers.  We ignored it because we can get free cruise from other sources.

If you are a Seven Star with Caesars, don't they periodically give out free cruises for Princess?   I know that Venetian/Palazzo does.   That's how I went on my first Princess Cruise.   I think Boyd offers Holland America cruises for high card status.

Anyway, once I got my free cruise on Princess (thru Palazzo) I gambled enough apparently to get me on the "list".   Now I get offers quite frequently for free cruises/free play/Princess Plus.

Obviously, the more $ you play, the better the offers.  My guess though, if you are Seven Star and Black Card you will easily qualify for free cruises (after your first cruise) if you gamble like you do.

Yes, I can get free cruises from Caesars, but they deal with Norwegian and not Princess.  I also get them from Casino at Sea and URComped.com.  My Last cruise was the 12- day Hawaii cruise Feb 2022 through URComped.com.  I booked a Mexican Cruise  in February through Caesars.  I can login to myt URComped.com site to search for cruise all over the world that I qualified, but none in Japan. I am interested on a particular cruise, a cheap $1,100 9-day Japan cruise from Princess .  Caesar and the 3rd party company do not deal with Princess.  I am trying to see I can get Casino rate (XX% off) and/or free Princess Plus/Premier on this cruise.  I just don't feel like paying full price, when I can get other free cruise from other sources mentioned.  A few friends booked already and ask me if I want to join them.  They don't gamble and are paying full price.

I have a comedy themed cruise booked with Princess, in April.  There's also a couple of 80's themed and several culinary themes.

This will be my first themed princess cruise.

It's a comp offer, not Let's Make a Deal.  Princess can offer whatever itineraries they want, take it or leave it.  If you're not getting offers for an itinerary you want, either Princess isn't giving comp offers for it or you're not as much of a high roller as you say.  If you don't like the choice of the Princess comp offers, take another line's comp cruise, but you're not going to get a different result by coming back and posting the same question, which people have already answered, again and again.

If you're such a high roller, seems like it shouldn't be an issue paying $1100 for the cruise you want if it's so "cheap".
