Boarding Pursuit in Buenos Aires

Check in was in the terminal at Buenos Aires. We arrived around 2:40. We had been on a week long pre-cruise tour through Azamara that included lunch and escorted transportation to the ship. Our checked luggage was taken as we entered the building, we were directed through a waiting area. I’m not sure if we bypassed waiting because of the escorted tour or suite guest or because we were past our boarding time of 2:00.

Then we went through security, and onward to a check-in desk where they checked our boarding pass, vaccination card and passport. We received our keycards there. Then another station before boarding where they took our passports and gave us a claim check for getting them back at some later time. Next onto the ship where our keycards were scanned. We were escorted to our muster station B which happens to be the Discoveries bar. A glass of bubbly and a muster presentation and then off to our cabin. Easy peasy.

We are also boarding the Pursuit on that day. We boarded the onward in Miami December 1 and check in was on the pier and very efficient. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on hotels in Buenos Aires?

I stayed at Hilton in Porto Madero, Buenos Aires.  Very good. Next to River - nice walking walking area - plenty of cafes.  No complaints of Hotel and would book again.

If a boutique hotel suits your purposes, then it would be hard to find a better choice than the Fierro Hotel in the Palermo district. Excellent rooms, service, and breakfast.

We were there in 2019, but the reviews on Tripadvisor remain very positive.

Would go back in a heartbeat.

Looks like your spoilt for choice with other posters' ideas, but I'm staying in the Palladio Hotel M Gallery. It seemed to have good expansive rooms and is recently built. That might be important because maintenance/redecoration is an issue because of the weakness of the peso. So far the concierge there, who is a Clef d'Or, has been extremely useful and helpful so I'm hoping for good service.

Incidentally, be aware of the new and very welcome developments on the exchange rate now applying to Visa and Mastercard. It pretty much halves the cost of my room from £290 per night to around £150.

Sorry to ask something you may already have been asked, but did you have to submit a Covid test? It would be good to hear first hand because I've had emails saying not needed anymore, but my ticket still says it is.

Thats good to hear - we stayed there in 2013 and were very happy and as we might be back next year, it is good to hear that this hotel could still be a good option

The staff at the Palladio was terrific when we were there four days before the Covid lockdown in Argentina. I would think that the same care is taken now as tourism resumes. The location is safe and walkable.

If you can get a reservation be sure to visit Don Julio. It's open. I think several of the other restaurants we loved have not reopened. BTW you can book Don Julio on line for up to 4 people.

Thank you! Look forward to hopefully meeting you onboard. My father in law was from Antrim/Belfast and we’re hoping to visit family there in the next year or so.
