We recently did the three night freedom new years cruise. They are telling us that we dont earn any points. Been cruising for 17 years and diamond plus and never heard of this before. Did I miss something?

Who told you that?  Are you off the cruise now?  If so, how long has it been since you completed the cruise in question?

I wonder if someone misunderstood something.  You don't actually get your cruise points credited to you account until between the cruise you are on and the next cruise you take.  In other words, if you are cruising for enough nights to qualify (and I'm sure you already know this)  for the next tier level, you don't get the benefits until the next cruise you take.  In any case, while on a cruise, you don't get credited the points until you complete the cruise you are on.  That's the only thing I can think of that may of happened.  I just read the C&A FAQ and there is no minimum nights one must cruise to qualify for C&A points.

Side note:  It would be a nice touch if RCCL would award the next tier level while on the cruise you actually earned it on.

Who's they? They don't know what they're talking about. It usually takes anywhere from 7-10 days after the cruise to show up in your loyalty account. If the points don't show up, email crownandanchor@rccl.com.

Only one time I've had a problem seeing my cruise credits applied. After a few weeks I called C&A and asked why they hadn't been added and was told because it was a "comped cruise" !! No, sorry it was not...they checked my booking and corrected the mistake. Forty + RCI cruises and have never had a "comped cruise" :classic_huh:

Kind of a cryptic post.   Who is/are "they"?   Was there anything different about this cruise?

Even if it was a comped cruise, you should still get the points.  We get comped cruises from the casino from time to time and have always gotten the points.

I've gotten my points from my 4 night cruise that I missed! Since the day before the cruise was Christmas , when I called Royal to cancel there was no working to cancel the cruise.  I had my agent call ON day of cruise (12/26) and it was too late. I'd be a no show.

Well after 2.5 hours on the phone on Friday with big box store and Royal, they can't seem to fix the issue and send me a No Show letter so I can get my taxes, cruise planner money refunded AND submit paperwork to travel insurance.

I just called again and So and So from Royal still "doesn't have the issue resolved". WTH?  They will call me when it is.  Royal would not give big box store any contact information so I could contact Royal by email directly.  Must be their way to keep my money!  Sorry, 4 points isn't worth $3500 (2 cabins, 4 people).

Good luck OP. I'm sure you will get your points by calling Crown and Anchor.

Yep, I must have skipped over the "New Years Cruise" part.  I'm still curious about the other questions.  But, the OP seem to have gone AWOL!

This is our experience as well. We’ve taken several casino comped cruises and  always get credit for the points.

This is just what I was told when I called. Perhaps there is a way to get comped other than through the casino. But either way it certainly didn't apply to mine.

Just to give an update. Their system created new crown and anchor numbers for us. The agent has no idea how it happened but apparently we were not the only ones this happened to on that cruise. Now he is trying to merge the new with old. All very strange.
