First time on Edge in the Retreat

Terminal 25. Signs for retreat to drop off luggage but police waved us away. We walked back. Terminal is gorgeous. Check in is in the retreat lounge similar to RCCL suite check in. No lines. They come to you. They took new photos. We watched the safety video on our phones. Lavish snacks. Our check in was 11 and we arrived around 10:30 and were ushered in.

Apparently you need to have the placard in the window of the vehicle. They are emailed to higher level suites.  We've never had a problem, but I did notice security checking to make sure our driver had it.

 Yes, IIRC that Retreat luggage drop off is for Star Class Guest only.  Those of us in Sky/Sea use the same luggage drop as everyone else.

Booked on the Edge in Retreat next January - New Zealand.  Any Retreat info specific to this ship would be appreciated.

Good news. They put up four gigantic umbrellas on the sundeck. Still plenty of sunny spots but at least those of us that need shade have a shot. Bad news, lobster roll had two little bites of lobster. Good news, they promised to remove the rocking chair, after I tripped over it twice and they are giving me a lounge chair on my balcony. The two concierges Alexandra and Yullie both from Ukraine are lovely and helpful. Casino looks great .

Wife hit a royal flush playing video poker on her 4th of July birthday on edge paid a thousand we left ship we allot more money than we brought.

Which room type? I may want two rocking chairs for my cruise. 😄

This is an improvement with the umbrellas.  Only two when we were on in November, as I recall.

 

Alex and Yulia are fabulous ....made our trip very special!

Celebrity suite. Jess ( Butler) removed the rocking chair ( I tripped over it twice) took one chair front the balcony to replace it. And brought me a lounge. I’m in Heaven. Great service.

Where does one get the placard?  We are in a RS but not on the Edge. Is the placard specific to all upper suites across the fleet or just E class?

Shoreside Retreat Concierge emailed it as a pdf. I printed it on card stock. In this case, it was for the Beyond leaving from T25 at PE. We were in an EV.
