Traveling onboard HARMONY next weekend. Have a group of diehard Bills, Cowboys … and sadly, Ravens Fans with us. I’ve ASSURED them the games will be playing somewhere other than in our rooms. Last time on Oasis there was a fun sports bar, but don’t see it on this ship. I’ve read that sometimes they are  shown in the main theatre, although Grease will be playing there. The Aqua Theatre will also be in use for a performance, so any thoughts where they can watch?!

Happily the Harmony is showing replays of 1967 tetherball matches from grade schools throughout the USA.

they may reserve one 19 inch television for football, but someone will need to hold the antenna with their left hand and put their right arm at a 67 degree angle due west.

yes, you will find  American football on the Harmony.

This weeks sailing had one game on in the AquaTheater (Dolphins Bills)  and the others (Giants/Vikings)(Ravens/Bengals) in Boot & Bonnet.  I would expect similar arrangements next week.

Makes sense that the tragic Vikes game was in a bar, so people could drown their tears in a beer 😞. I’m almost glad

we are out of the playoffs!  I monitored my pulse during some of our games this year, and it was off the charts- I wonder how many people had heart attacks because of the stress!!!

I'm assuming you mean this weekend, unless you are confident that Cowboys (vs 49rs) and Bills (vs Cincy) beat their opponents this Sunday.😆 If you know something that I don't know, please let me in on the secret as I'd like to put a few shekels on the games

Football games are usually shown in the Theatre and Aqua venues.

Games are also shown in the Casino Bar.

Wooo, I dodged a bullet.  The football schedule was not on my radar when I booked our cruise for next year.  I scheduled our wedding around the football schedule.  Next year's Super Bowl will be a week later, Feb 11, and we depart Feb 19.   Also before March Madness.

Gotta have your priorities in the right place. 🤣   1. 🏈  2. 🏀 3. 💘

I used the arrow through the heart on purpose.  That is going to be what happens later if you do not change some priorities. 😱     😁😉

Well, in my case it DH's priorities.   With the wedding, I just didn't want to know who would rather watch a game on TV than attend my wedding.  Ignorance can be bliss.  I actually have no complaints in that regard.   But, on vacation things might be different.

When Slayton dropped that pass, I for sure had vision that my GMen were going to lose in o/t on a 65-yard field goal.😁

Super Bowl is late this year too, 2/12.

I think it will always be “late” now.  I think

they added a game to the seasons.  Maybe.  I should probably pay more attention when my DH talks about football 😉

Yes but they took away one preseason game to compensate for it.  Not sure why it keeps getting later & later.   My husband listens to ME when I talk about football….

Or baseball….

Or basketball (NCAA or NBA)

Or hockey

I’m a way bigger fan than him!

When I looked up the date for 2024, I landed on an article about how much of problem the date will be next year.  New Orleans has the Super Bowl, and it is the same weekend as Fat Tuesday.
I lucked out there too.  New Orleans, being within driving distance was an option.  I might have totally scheduled a cruise to leave from there during Mardi Gras.

There's has always been talk on sports radio in the Metro area about wanting the Monday after Super Bowl to be considered a holiday.  The 12th of February is President's Day. 🏈 Although not celebrated as it was in the past, still many people get off for that day.

We booked Cruises for several years that included Super Bowl Sunday

Royal did an amazing job planning out arrangements for watching the game.

Festive decorations and a great spread of tailgate type foods.

Our last cruise was actually during conference finals in 2019 and several venues had the games on including the main theatre

I forgot  to look at football playoff schedules when we booked our 1/29/23 Harmony cruise. I'm going to be in the doghouse if I watch the entire NFC playoff game Sunday afternoon, 3:00 pm with my favorite E-A-G-L-E-S vs. Cowboys or 49's. Wife says she will watch at least 1st half, but must eat @ MDR @ rereserved early 5:15 seating. I could be ok to get a hot dog or something from buffet after game,, but guess I'll loose this one! Will the game be on a big screen  TV somewhere?

If you follow some of the other posts about how people feel the need to blast their personal devices in public areas, I will be surprised if you cannot hear the game from another table in the MDR. 🤣

You can tell whether someone's favorite team is losing by watching the food fly up into the air or being thrown down at the floor. 😁
