DavidTheWonderer Posted January 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2023 On land we go to a lot of live music, including supporting local musicians in lounges and bars. So perhaps my standards are too high, but in general I don't expect much on Regent cruises, with a few exceptions. This does not mean I am criticising Regent, but it is what it is. I've added Lemon Duo to my personal exceptions list. They are currently on Splendor with us in the Southern Caribbean. Good competent hard working musicians. Of course 'your mileage may vary'.

What sort of music do they play?
Avidtravler Posted January 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2023 Just wondering if anyone knows where Boogie and Kashia are now? Hope my spelling of their names are correct.
The German Guys Posted January 26, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2023 We are also currently on the „Lemon Duo Cruise“ on Splendor in the Southern Caribbean. We also enjoy listening to both of them every evening in the Splendor Lounge with their wide range of songs.
slidebite Posted January 26, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2023 Nice! Always good to come across unexpected talent. We did a princess cruise in 2019 and discovered a really great vocalist, Phillip Browne. If I saw him give a performance somewhere local I'd definitely attend. irishwitchy Posted January 28, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2023 I believe Boogie and Kashia are on Mariner, hence the world cruise.
Avidtravler Posted January 28, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Many thanks for the information. They are a great duo and we miss them on Splendor.
DeepFreeze63 Posted January 28, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Yes, "mileage does vary" BUT I enjoy any the duos in the lounges outside of CR as a very nice alternate to our usual favorite stint with the pianist in OL before dinner. wcsdkqh Posted January 28, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 28, 2023 Except that it is all but impossible to have a conversation in the lounge outside Compass Rose due the the volume of the music.
DavidTheWonderer Posted January 29, 2023 Author #10 Share Posted January 29, 2023 Yesterday they did Patsy Cline's song Crazy. 99% of women singers who do that song try to do it like Patsy did. There are only 2 or 3 singers on the planet who can pull that off. (Emmylou comes to mind.) Lemon Duo instead did a very nice version of their own. A good professional choice I think. By a couple of good professional musicians.
Rare CruiserFromMaine Posted January 31, 2023 #11 Share Posted January 31, 2023 The Lemon Duo is a good option. In particular, the guitarist is very good. This is their first time performing on a cruise ship.
cruiseluv Posted February 2, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 2, 2023 I enjoyed very much the Lemon Duo on Splendor this past cruise. I had the opportunity to chat with them , they’re a sweet couple from Argentina. They’re very eager to please and play a wide variety of music, even tango!
