The design of Wonder pretty much sounded the death knoll. Granted she was built for Asian market, but I'm guessing they didn't get a lot of negative feedback in her first year

Well this I don’t disagree with.  However, are they so crowded in the casinos now that they want more space to increase revenue?  I just can’t recall a night in our trips last year on Allure or Harmony when it seemed that crowded.

Or maybe they feel they are losing non smokers due to the smoke and this will bring them back.  I did notice you couldn’t escape the smoke smell on either side.  Personally I think a small room would not be as fun.  I’d probably get bored in a small off shoot room.  It would certainly seem better situated as a high roller room where privacy and a feeling of exclusiveness is preferred.  Not sure how it will work as just a non smoking room.

I guess data from Wonder is guiding them, but that ship is way more expensive still so probably way more higher dollar gamblers.  This may not play out as well on Allure where it is way cheaper to cruise.  Time will tell.

So triangulation of rumors confirms things?  That method of proof has worked great over the past several years.

Now a clock is right twice a day, so some rumors certainly will pan out.  But if I had a dime for every rumor about changes Royal would make (that they didn’t) I’d be sailing star class 24/7 365 days a year.

Forgive me if I don’t believe the circular arguments of social media rumors which are the only source for “news” articles that serve as the source for social media posts.  The whole scenario is ludicrous.

I guess some are in denial.

Might just be lip service to non smokers

As far as Allure being cheap, it fills regardless due to the price point. Doubt they care if a few don't like it

The non smoking casino on wonder was supposed to be a high roller casino when it was destined for China, they repurposed it into a non smoking casino when it was redirected. So they clearly don’t think there is a market for a high roller casino outside of Asia.

there are a fair number of non smoking gamblers, but fewer than the smokers, so it makes sense the smaller room would be allocated to non smokers. There were lots of happy people when smoking was banned in the casino during covid, so maybe the feedback showed them there is a requirement for a non smoking casino? The current system of smoking and non smoking sides just doesn’t work.

I will be in wonder later this year and happy there will be a non smoking casino, just hope it has decent machines.
