Entry Question

This may not be the correct board to post and I’ve also posted on my roll call but it’s not very active. Flying into Quebec and first time in Canada. Do we need any documents? Any forms to fill out? ANYTHING other than passport??? Scared to death we’ll get to the airport or to customs and be denied because of something we didn’t do.

Based on some of your other posts I'm assuming that you are American. That being the case, there are no other documents required. For more information, I suggest that you take a look at this website:

Visit Canada portal https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada.html?outside

Entry requirements https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/entry-requirements-country.html#us-citizens

The ArriveCAN app can be downloaded and used to complete an Advanced CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) Declaration to speed up entry when you land.

In general US Citizens do not require a visa before entry as a tourist. One thing that does seem to catch a number of visitors are prior convictions. Someone convicted of what is deemed "serious criminality" in Canada may be inadmissible. See DUI example https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=152&top=8.

I don't think ArriveCAN is required anymore, nor do they ask for it.

But I guess being over prepared is better than not being prepared at all!

ArriveCAN is currently only a portal to the CBSA Advanced Declaration. It is entirely optional and only supported in a few arrival locations, Quebec (YQB) being one. See https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html for details.

This is something that needs to be highlighted because it catches a LOT of people by surprise. When we lived in the States, I knew people who were turned away at the border because of a drunk driving conviction from their college years - they were completely unaware and insurance won't help you.

This rule goes for Canadians entering the USA as well.
I know someone who was not yet convicted but had an unsettled court case and was turned away at the boarder. Only after being found innocent was he allowed to enter the US.
