I wanted to thank you too for the wonderful live.
I will be on Sapphire from August 9th for 2 weeks for our first in Alaska.
In the photo of the senior officers I saw that there are many Italians...
I won't have language problems... 🙂
Do you know if Captain Ravera will also stay in August or will he be replaced sooner?
Thanks again for everything

I don't know, but I'll try to ask him tomorrow at the MTG Luncheon.  They usually only do 2 month contracts and he has been onboard our entire voyage.

Non lo so, ma proverò a chiederglielo domani al pranzo MTG. Di solito fanno solo contratti di 2 mesi e lui è stato a bordo dell'intero viaggio.

Thank you,
I also knew 2 /3 months...

The Embruix, Spellbound and the Malbec were gone a few days into our voyage.  How can you run out of Malbec while in Argentina!  All of their wine shipments have been coming from Ft Lauderdale or LA. Crazy!!!

We were on a TA that morphed into a British Isles cruise a few years back. We were on the Ireland part of the cruise. I went to the Vines bar (it was a full bar) and asked for an Irish whiskey, neat. "Out of stock!" I said, you want me to pick some some up for you outside?!

On a related note, we were in France on a river cruise. The bar ran out of Veuve Clicquot. Oh no!

A few hours later, the barman told us it's back in stock - he had actually left the vessel on his break and purchased more nearby.

I guess Princess/Carnival has an exclusive with a distributor. Oh well.

You guys are resourceful - enjoy your cruise!

Thank you for this! Really great info and photos!

Question regarding Vines on Sapphire: do they still serve food with the purchase on wine? If yes, what is it? My last cruise on the Ruby included a small serving of sushi with wine. Curious what it's like these days. Thank you!

Hi LACruiser88. I am really enjoying your posts.  Thank you for taking the time from your vacation.

Hope you enjoy the MTG luncheon.  Can you get the numbers for most traveled #1, #2, and #3.

Thanks for taking the time.

I can tell now as they are the same folks from the last cruise.

#1-  2,208

#2-  1,893

#3-   901

We were #9 and #10 at 756 sea days.

The Vines on the Sapphire is very small and they do not serve any appetizers at all.  The original Vines location was replaced by Alfredo's Pizzeria.  Vines was moved to the adjacent candy shop.

Hi not sure if this has been asked yet. Do any of the specialty restaurants have an included lunch menu? ( no extra cost). We will be boarding Sapphire Princess on April 6. Wondering if you have any tips for first day ? Reason I ask is I’ve found on other cruise lines the specialty restaurants sometimes have special lunch menus included. Or there are pop-up salad bars ect.

The specialty restaurants do not serve lunch.  One of the specialty restaurants serves breakfast for those in full suites.  On the Sapphire, suite breakfast is served in Sabatini's.

I have never seen any "pop-up" salad bars.

This is a wonderful cruise.  Yesterday in Costa Rica,  we took the best of Puntarenas excursion.  Cruise along the Tarcoles River,  crocodiles and birds. Then lunch and a tram ride over the rain forest.  Absolutely beautiful.  Had our best night in the casino so far.  Tonight is Sabatinis and then tomorrow will be my first time ever in the Sanctuary.  Thanks to LACRUISER88 for mentioning how empty it is.  Now,  if they will just show basketball this weekend,  that would be perfect.

If you happen to run into Miguel Rocha (Hotel General Manager), please tell him Bob and Meredith say "hi".

We're doing a full day.  I have questions.  Do you get any sun thru the awning? Do they serve any sort of breakfast food or should we eat before we go?

They always ask if we want something for breakfast.  We always have a little something before going there.

Some sun does get thru depending on where you are and the direction of the sun.  Because it is fairly empty, you can move around to empty lounges to avoid the sun or to get more sun.
