Rare Radio Posted March 5, 2023 Author #30 Share Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 1 of “LIVE” from MSC Seascape. Today is cruise day, and I am happy to report that the weather today looks promising. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and 84f. There may be a few winds later this evening after we sail. (1800) My luggage has been re-packed, luggage tags affixed, and I have to close the Radio “Pressroom”. I still have enough time for a coffee in the lobby. Wasn’t it David Letterman who said, “A man’s best friend is a freshly made hot coffee”? Oh well, I think it was . . . My stay at Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay was very nice. The hotel has recently been refreshed with a new lobby, guest rooms, and exterior upgrades. Port Miami is just a short drive from here. My check-in time is 1:30, and I will take an Uber over at around 1:15. More pics coming soon onboard, and thanks for tuning in. Radio Google Maps view of Marriott Miami / and Port Miami MSC Seascape approaching the turning basin slowly very early this morning I had warm weather and sunny skies during my stay The hotel is very close to the pier My view to the left is of the Marriott and Doubletree pools I would rather have a view of Port Miami, but I will settle for a Biscayne Bay view as I view right. The Grand Mall was attached between Marriott and Doubletree and had about 30 stores It should be a short ride to the pier Most passenger terminals will be in use today Luggage tags have been affixed It's time to pack up the Radio "Pressroom" It's CRUISE DAY Edited March 5, 2023 by Radio 8

Rare Radio Posted March 7, 2023 Author #43 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Hello everyone. . . I am back on the ship now, from a delightful time at Ocean Cay. Some friends of mine and I enjoyed the day over on South Beach. This was a short walk from the Information Center, and very close to the food area (Seekers), and the restrooms. We rented a Cabana . . . It was located at a wonderful spot near the tram path. I am happy that it was in the shade because the sun today was very hot. I may have watched some news while ashore, but I definitely enjoyed the water. It was delightful. The island didn't seem crowded to me but it got very busy later in the day. This private island is much different than any other one I have visited. No waterparks or pools, or slides but it is very beautiful and very calm and promotes a very relaxing day ashore. The food served at Seekers was very good. I really enjoyed the Italian Sausage dog. Maybe they might add other features in the future, but I feel that the Marine Reserve concept works well for MSC. Here are a few pics. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Debarkation gangway Approaching the Information area All of the trees were planted just a few years ago. They're growing fast. I love the beaches here. I think the South Beach areas are the best The water was calm and very clean Here's the view from my cabana The Seekers food area got very busy later in the day. I really like the food that was served here. There were several food trucks that served basic burgers, dogs and desserts The Marina area is for water excursions. There were several shops for purchasing, souvenirs and supplies. The air conditioning felt very nice in these shops. You can reserve a cabana in the MSC cruise planner. South Beach Cabana. It's time to go back to the ship. Ocean Cay Map Ocean Cay Marine Reserve. .

Rare Radio Posted March 7, 2023 Author #50 Share Posted March 7, 2023 Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 3 of "LIVE" from MSC Seascape. Welcome to Port Nassau. We arrived this morning at 7am. We are joined today in Port Nassau with Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Liberty, Independence of the Seas, and MSC Divina. All passengers must be on board by 1:15pm as we will be leaving today early at 2pm. The Port Nassau refresh is coming along nicely. Arrivals center appears to be almost completed. Most of the vendor stations are nearing completion, as well as the amphitheater. According to Port Nassau, the Grand Opening is scheduled for May of this year. Hmmm. . . We'll see how that goes. Construction timelines in Nassau seem to be on "Island Time" Here are a few pics from this morning. Thanks for tuning in. Radio We approached Port Nassau under a beautiful sunrise. The Port Nassau Marina is getting closer to completion. The new Amphitheatre should provide entertainment for Cruise passengers. I am looking forward to the completion of the arrival center. It looks like the vendor stalls are almost done. MSC Seascape approaches the pier slowly. Good morning from the Marina pool on DECK 18. It is great to see MSC Davina with us in Port today. I sailed MSC Davina back in 2016. PXL_20230307_151703570.TS.mp4 .
