If you mean get taken to the head of the line to get off the ship and onto the tender, yes. The Retreat Host usually has those wishing to debark gather in a specific location and then escorts them to the head of the line at the gangway.

Rare mahdnc Posted March 9, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) I remember being envious of this when we were waiting in line to catch our tender from Puerto Montt, Chile to get back on Infinity. Edited March 9, 2023 by mahdnc

I have yet to see one of those situations, then again, I have only sailed in the Caribbean on Celebrity so far.

The non-priority line to get on the tender back to Infinity was very, very long. It's something I have yet to experience at any Caribbean port.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted March 9, 2023 #7 Share Posted March 9, 2023 Prior to Covid the Retreat Manager would be ashore and if saw a retreat guest would escort them around the crowd and to the front of the line. Haven't seen this since Covid. To depart on Tender you go to Retreat (unless on an Excursion) and when a tender is available the get a call and escort those that want to go ashore to the front of the line. This is a bit worrisome. In the Captains Club benefits, it says that priority tender access is an Elite benefit, not starting at Elite Plus. Was counting on that for my cruise coming up in 2 weeks on the Infinity. Edited March 9, 2023 by sherylc

You go to a specified place and CC Concierge will get you on the next available tender. I think the sign in the photo above is for getting the tender back to the ship. Remember on some sailings 1/2 the ship is Elite. Edited March 9, 2023 by wrk2cruise

I would hazard a guess that on most sailings more than 1/2 the ship is Elite or above, especially now that it is so easy for suite guests to reach that level. It's the old idea that if everyone is special no one is special - you know, kinda like the pre-boarding process at airlines🙂 But if they advertise a perk, they should provide it. As always the “small print” gives X the options to change /cancel anything depending on local conditions. We had similar issues when the gangway off the ship would only allow 4 passengers or 1 wheelchair to disembark at a time. The lines were very long and X immediately suspended all priorities. That benefit is for getting priority to get off the ship via tender which is a bigger deal especially if you have independent plans set up ashore that you do not want to be late to. Having said that, we were mighty tired after a full day of rafting and impatiently waited to get through the tender line. We would end up tendering two more times during this (South American) cruise.
