Has anyone been able to add the HIA to a casino booking?

It has been showing up with price for me to purchase since i booked the cruise.

Logged in today, shows the HIA but no price and when I click on it, it says your booking is not eligible for the HIA package.

For my 7 day November cruise I was able to.  For my upcoming 16 day TA in May it says my booking is not eligible for the HIA package.

I wonder if there is a cutoff date that I missed?

My experience trying to buy HIA a la carte on the HAL website was it showed my booking (not a casino offer) was ineligible. After a few weeks I got an email inviting me to buy HIA. A week later when I tried to buy via the email link it said I was ineligible again. A few weeks later I got another email, same result. I checked about once a week and eventually the purchase just went forward successfully so I got my HIA. I'm sure I could've contacted my PCC, who is always helpful, to make it happen but I had a lot of time. Playing hide & seek with the HAL website has become a hobby, trying to figure out if there's any rhyme or reason for the buggy behavior - nope.

I do have to agree that it is the worst cruise line website that I have ever used. Maybe the US one is better than the Canadian? The bar is set pretty low though.

I tried unsuccessfully for weeks to try and add the HIA package to our trip coming up on the 25th. After many attempts watching the wheel spin and spin and then finally getting the "Ineligible" message I decided to call today. Within 10 minutes I was through and was able to book it.

What does HIA mean? Thanks

Have It All.

It's a package deal that has inclusions that can vary. It usually includes the Signature Beverage Package; it sometimes includes the Hotel Service Charge (by whatever name it is going by at the time). It likely includes at least one dinner in a specialty restaurant, and more often two dinners in at least two restaurants.

Others can probably add an item or two more.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, HIA is very popular now.  Have not cruised with Hollard for a few years. Last one was when they were doing the Oprah cruises.  We have one coming up on Eurodam leaving on March 25th.

Was this a casino booking? I’m on a casino booking later this fall and keep getting an ineligible message & assumed I was ineligible. I got an email for it today and still got the ineligible message. No experience with HAL so I didn’t realize this might just be a glitch!

For those that can book it do they take HAL gift cards?

I've added it to casino bookings.  Unfortunately, it isn't available for the 2 5-night sailings I added to the end of the 4/3 Rotterdam TA.  The 2 5-nights were also sold as 1 10-night sailing, but because I booked the two separately (via the casino offers), I couldn't add HIA.
