Wheelchair accessible- Seattle cruise

Recommended Posts

@vacationlover_mn I have seen motorized scooters, wheel chairs, motorized wheelchairs, even those large motorized chairs for those with severe disabilities.  You can bring your own, all Royal ships are ADA compliant.  Newer ships (like the Quantum and Oasis class) have better accessibility than the older ships, but like I mentioned all are ADA compliant so easily accessible.

My friend is thinking of taking her mom on a cruise out of Seattle.  Her mom needs a wheelchair.

1- can they bring their own chair?

2- which ship do you recommend that is most wheelchair accessible

3- so you recommend an electric chair?  Or is the push one ok?

1. Yes

2. Probably all about the same.

3. Up to the pusher.

Since this is a first cruise for someone using a mobility device, check out the DISABILITIES forum and the Seattle ports of call for additional information.  The White Pass Train ride is very accommodating.
