Traveling with Insulin

We are taking our 1st vacation and cruise in 5 years. Our last cruise in 11/2019 was cancelled 2 days before sailing.

My wife is now insulin it needs to refrigerated/ kept cold. What TSA's and Airlines requirements? Plus we both CPAP'S which are a pain to travel with.

GeezerCouple has given you the link to TSA. Basically the airlines won't care one way or another. Keep your insulin and supplies in your cabin bag, never in your checked luggage. Since it needs to be kept cold, you will need to invest in a Frio bag or other type of insulin travel cooler. Google them for more information. Contact your cruise line Special Needs department to request a medication fridge. The temps in these are better controlled than the regular mini fridges in cabins. You can also request a sharps container for your bathroom.

Our DS has traveled with his insulin for many years - we use a cool pack in an insulated lunch bag along with a couple chocolate milk (his choice for raising low blood sugar).  Since insulin can be stored at room temperature for the duration of the trip he has not had any problems.

Thank you, We have been traveling with CPAPS for many years. If we  travel with only a carry-on it is in a separate bag that TSA makes us open. If we check luggage it goes in it

Thanks, she is looking at those. When we booked our T/A  asked for a medication fridge and ex. cords.

I too use a CPAP. Mine came with instructions to never put it in checked luggage, only carry on. And in the included bag with all the well-padded hidey-holes for the various parts.
