Sydney disembarkation - flight times

Recommended Posts

Advice please: we are flying to Singapore immediately after a cruise - there is a flight at 12.30 or one at 17:00... I have heard of delays to ships coming back into Sydney due to customs 🛃 or sometimes weather 🌊 : so should we go for the 17:00 one and be safe... and if we do what can we do all day with our luggage? Thanks

ps: the cruise is to NZ if that effects the 🛃 customs entry?

I would not be comfortable having to be at the airport at 9.30-10.00am for an international flight after disembarking from a cruise.

A 5.00pm flight means being at the airport at 2.00pm. It will not be "all day". You will have enough time for a pleasant lunch before leaving for the airport

12:30 is possible, but you need to hurry, and it doesn't give you much contingency if anything goes wrong (doesn't happen often, but can and has happened). Whereas 5 is much more comfortable, so I'd be choosing that.

I agree with 5.00pm flight and a pleasant lunch before leaving for the airport.

Admittedly our flight was not until 21:30, we booked a dayroom use (with pool) at the airport and were pleased with this, so maybe this is another option to consider.

That is a perfect solution if you are exhausted.  I did that once in Singapore and a cold pool and a cold drink never felt so good!
