So you turned Diamond on this cruise? Coincidentally my husband and I turned Diamond on our Pride cruises last year but never received the welcome letter. We want to save both of our free dinners for our TP on the Luminosa in September. So it seems like you had to speak to guest relations to get this sorted out?

Way back when they mailed the letter to us along with leather bag tags and passport holder. Now I guess they do things differently. I would call the Diamond Desk and see if that can be taken care of before you sail. If you need the number,  it's in my signature. Good luck! 😎

I have been teaching middle school for a few years now. And my last name is McNutt. So, bonus pay?

I taught middle school for many years before retiring. One year before Winter Break in a faculty meeting the principal announced that eighth grade teacher Ms. x was getting married over the holidays and that her new name would be Mrs. Boozer. He said, “Good luck to her,”.

We are sailing on a casino comp, so we have a spa balcony, cheers for 2, and $1,000 Freeplay in the casino. We only had to pay port fees and taxes which was $551.04 for the cabin. We also paid an additional $200/cabin but that's rebated back as OBC.

We stopped in Aomori on Seabourn Sojourn Kobe...Kamchatka... Vancouver. I search out soba noodles when I travel, and found green seaweed Okinawan soba noodles at a huge shopping mall, with dozens of food stands very near the cruise terminal.  Great walking city!!

Trying to get this Diamond letter again

Probably shouldn't mention this, I did B2B when I turned diamond and I got the passport covers and letter for a free dinner on both cruises.😜

just a heads up - another decent perk for Diamond is the one time upgrade.  I also booked the TP on the Luminosa (full price for me bleh lol) but I was able to book a balcony and pay for oceanview, so it was a good thing I had been saving it.  I know you have a bunch of cruises booked - maybe one is worth applying it to.

I taught high school for 8 years before I got married... my maiden name is Beaver... Had a tougher time when I was actually in HS than with the kids while teaching. In college, I finally embraced it and played along - I played Powderpuff football each fall - Beaver #69 😉

Sometimes I play along but play dumb. My husband sells sports equipment and gives me balls for my class. Other classes were being mean to my (special ed) students. I said that if they aren't nice to us, we won't let them play with our McNutt balls. I can say it with a completely straight face. They struggled to maintain their composure. It was awesome. (When you teach middle school, you use a different vocabulary.

My sons had a teacher named Mrs. Butt in elementary school. Word was her husband's name was Harry.

So things got weird at this point. Our Uber driver was stopped at a checkpoint. He gets pulled aside by police, and we can’t understand them, but they’re clearly asking for a document he doesn’t have….

he seemed very nervous, and told us we were close, we should get out. Don’t have to ask us twice.

we looked back, and they were in his trunk. I hope our pal is okay.

I could never have just left I would have wanted to know if they took him away.   Of course then I would have wondered why. 😀
