I’m saving up for 7-Night Norwegian Fjords Cruise from Southampton cruise on Disney Dream Cruise ship and staying in concierge stateroom. do think  the ship would be full of parents   with primary school and secondary school kids form wales, England, Scotland and Ireland or would parents think   that wouldn’t nothing to interest the kids e.g. playground or theme parks   to places it will stop in ports e.g. Mekjarvik (Stavanger), Norway Alesund, Norway, Olden, Norway and Haugesund, Norway since the Disney Dream cruises in going form Southampton in 5 - 12 August 2024 Monday - Monday

There will be many children no matter what , it’s Disney , great for all ages. If you love Disney nostalgia, movies , entertainment it’s impossible not to love DCL unless you just hate cruising

I can understand the Disney Dream cruise ship be busy with parents with kids from primary school and secondary school  from wales, England, Scotland and Ireland In august 5th to August 12th 2024 since during summer school holidays,

Probably  for the   7-Night Western Europe Cruise from Southampton on  September 1st to September 8th 2024 it be less busy with primary school and secondary school kids form wales, England, Scotland and Ireland because most primary and secondary schools in wales are back in school during school term on  Monday September 2nd 2024, and most primary schools and secondary during school term on Monday September 2nd, most primary and secondary school in Ireland be back in school during school term on 31st August 2024 and most primary and secondary school in Scotland be back in school Tuesday 13th august during school term.

There will probably be a good number of US based cruisers who will fly to Europe for the cruise.

I don't think that us  parents will elementary school children or high school children be on Disney  dream cruise ship on 7-Night Western Europe Cruise from Southampton on  September 1st to September 8th 2024 since most elementary school children high school children be back in school in us on 28th August 2024, plus labor day is on 2nd September 2024 in school in us I don't us parents would get on Disney dream cruise ship just for the day on September 2nd with their kids just the elementary school and high school are shut for just 1 day on September 2nd 2024.

There will be families with children of all ages from many different countries on DCL regardless of the itinerary or time of year. In the US there are a lot of families who homeschool their children so that they can take off whenever they want, there are families who take their kids out of school regardless, and not all schools in the US follow the same schedule.

If you want a line without children, you need to look at Virgin which is 18+.

You are talking about a Disney ship so there are likely to be many children onboard especially so on itineraries which fall within school holidays. And remember that August is the main summer vacation month right across Europe with millions on the move, so a sailing falling within a European school vacation period could attract multiple families of several nationalities.Scottish holidays are mostly taken in July as schools finish the term towards or at the end of, June and the new academic year begins around mid-August.

But many cruiselines have introduced more "family friendly" ships with multiple clubs and activities geared towards families, and I think, but do not know for sure as we are past that stage,  that UK families will be attracted to ships which have more onboard activities for their kids rather than looking for theme parks ashore.

And many UK families will not be too interested in visiting theme parks at destination ports anyway as there are a number of them not only in many parts of the UK  which can be visited for one day or for longer, but also on mainland Europe which they can combine with their summer beach vacations or as mini breaks.  There is also Disneyland Paris just outside Paris, a destination in its own right and popular for short breaks of a few days rather than for only a few hours, unless of course you happen to live close enough to make a few hours worthwhile. And many families will visit Florida theme parks, again for a week or two weeks to make the most of the longer flights and higer cost.
