Oasis Shows

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

We’re on Oasis on July 7th. We just got an email at 5:30 about reserving our seats for shows and three hours when we saw the email, all shows were completely sold out. Is this true? As a long time royal to loyal customer, this will be a deal breaker for me. While I understand Oasis is massive, I’ve never had to prebook shows and then within three hours have them all filled.

Thank you advance for your help!

Even Cats is showing sold out? Then it's either a glitch or they are holding back some options until you board. As soon as you board, connect to Oasis wifi and book what you need. The comedy shows can only be booked onboard while the guest entertainer shows don't take reservations at all.

On Oasis comedy is pre booked.  We were on the May 21st sailing and the comedy shows were sold out quickly after the shows were released (we booked in advance) and they did not have a comedian show in the theater (we were expecting it and thought if they were good we would go again in the theater).  They really weren't very good.

OP, our experience on the May 21st sold out sailing was that there are plenty of seats for Cats.  Aqua 80 usually had random standby seats and some seats together in the splash zone.  The comedy shows you need a reservation to get s seat, but they open the doors for standby and the do not limit the number of people who want to do standing room in the back.  Frozen in Time was a full theater, but I don't know how many of the seats were filled by the standby line.  You should be able to see everything even without reservations by showing up early for the standby line.

We're on Oasis now and NO, the comedy shows in the comedy club could not be prebooked by any of our 3 reservations. We had no issue booking (and then modifying bookings once on board) but 100% the only 3 shows our sailing were allowed to pre-book were Cats, Frozen in Time, and Aqua 80.

So will add the "your mileage may vary" sticker to this. We have never been able to prebook anything other than those 3 shows on Oasis.

Hi @Bcshur, i am on you sailing!  I wouldn’t sweat it, there is always plenty of standby seating for the big three shows. The comedy show is pretty limited since it is in Blaze but they have not opened that for reservations, if they do at all. That may need to be reserved onboard. You may want to check as soon as you board to see about reservations if you really want to see the comedy show.

Reservations for our sailing opened 1 June which held to the first day of the month prior to sailing trend. Royal’s email came out really late. For future cruises, recommend you keep your eye on the cruise planner closely after online check-in. Also, since you are here on CC, join the role call for your sailing. Folks are always checking and someone will post when they see things like reservations open. Have a great cruise.

They only allow a few pre-reserved seats, then they close it. You can do two things...when you board, call the number on your room phone for reservations and try that. OR, just show up... the reservation line gets let in, then they let everyone else fill in the seats, and there are always seats.

OR use your app to reserve the shows as soon as you board.  It's pretty quick to do that, and there are plenty of spaces- as we didn't get around to doing that until 2pm, and all the shows (except comedy) was open.  Really easy to reserve your whole party.
