My TA is a member of Oceania's Connoisseur Club.  Is their TA? Just wondering if maybe their TA doesn't do a lot of Oceania bookings and doesn't have a good O contact.  Not saying that's the case. And agree, the "marketing" games can drive you nuts - the exact sentiments I said to my TA when I inquired about all this.

My TA is also the same member. These other TA’s probably don’t book a lot of O cruises. They’re quoting what they see on line. Our neighbor is paying approx $5,600 more for August ‘23 Riviera A4. I told him it was on Extraordinary Sale. His TA said I was mistaken and cruise was $200 pp more than when he booked. He insisted he has the “best” TA and she would know if there was a sale.  We here on CC know better!

I guess it's beyond final payment if the cruise is next month so the TA is not wanting to five money back.  Or did you mean August 24?  At any rate, I'd get some price quotes and find a new TA for the future.  $5600 is a LOT of $$.

It was in May before final payment. He insisted his TA had to be right and my mistake. Of course I backed off.

So this has nothing to do with the Summer Sale and simplyMore.  Not relevant to this thread.then as it is just confusing.

SM is only for cruises after Oct or Nov 1 (I forget).  And no Riviera cruises in August 2023 are part of the Summer Sale.

I just heard back from my TA if my Nov. 2023 cruise can be converted to simply MORE and if that would potentially be a good idea.  The TA said that Oceania is not “letting him do that.”. Not sure exactly what that means, but my guess is that we cannot convert to simply MORE without losing our Extraordinary Sale pricing.  Or perhaps it is because the ship is pretty much sold out for this itinerary???

Your TA should be able to check availability and tell you why Oceania is not letting you switch.

You cannot have both  options  ESS & SM

but the TA has to go through a Supervisor  for it to happen

Cannot see what a full ship has to do with it  You already have a cabin on the sailing

They will have that in the future  I think by Nov they can get more wine & beer onboard  😉

Ordinarily you cannot "stack" sales one on top of another. Or add new programs to a previous sale.  You can move from sale to sale or from a sale to a program. The ESS pricing was amazing, so I'm at a loss as to what SM would get you if you have to then reprice today without the ESS. All SM (w/out airfare) really "adds" is an increased cost to pay for a small drinks package and some excursions.

We were successful in moving one of our cruises over to the Summer Sale with very nice savings so, now, a new question. We have a second booked cruise, also in the Summer Sale. For this one, we have a “free” pre-cruise package. Have any of you been able to take advantage of the sale and keep your free land package?

We had a cruise booked with the “free” pre-cruise package.  The package is valued at $899 pp and our agent said we would have to pay that amount if we wanted to keep it when we rebooked.  Even if we paid for the pre-cruise package, our new booking would be $450 less than our “free” pre-cruise package deal.

Wow I just called and had the  summer sale applied to my Jan. 2024 cruise.  Saved $7,300.  Had booked 24 day cruise to Antarctica under all three free in March.  Lost the all three free but adjusting for that I still saved $7300.  About all I lost was the OBC.  With simply more still have beverage package and credit for shore excursions.   This was for a PH1.  You must call to get this pricing.

We had a similar experience. Yay, us!!!  See you on board in January!

Hmmmm, you got all 3 OLife items? We booked a cruise under the  20th Anniversary sale and we got our choice of one of the OLife items and $600 in SBC.

I could have sworn that we got the March special of ALL 3 OLife items when we booked for our Istanbul to Barcelona (11/1j cruise. When we got our paperwork, it stated a choice. My O Rep has not responded to my questions about this. Not happy.

We booked our Barcelona-Istanbul cruise in March. You are 100% correct: O was having a special sale only in March that included all 3 OLife items. You should have all three! Someone probably sent you some standard paperwork that was being used before and after. Many do not seem to be aware of this sale.

In fact, the reason we're not changing to simply more is because we got all three, and used both of the two $600 credits for excursions.

Thank you so much. I am calling them this morning to try and get this resolved. My “Cruise Specialist” is not answering my emails. Very frustrating.

Hello Dreyers,

Like you, I booked in March for a November trip (Barcelona-Istanbul on Riveria). When prices changed in July, I received a significantly lower price and upgraded my cabin and still saved a bunch. Just looked at my invoice and see that I received all 3 OLife items:

I hope you're successful.

I was able to get an Oceania rep to help and make sure that I had our full Olife Three for Free and that my past cruise info was up to date on the website. Problems solved-they were actually very helpful. Now praying that we don’t have cancellations!
