Not afraid of an old ship but some critics say it is "OLD".   Anyoine travel in 2923 on the Infinity and can let me know it condition and staff.

Yes, it's old and yes, it could use a refreshing but everything works and the staff is excellent. What exactly are you concerned about?

We are well traveled but expect reasonable service. When a suituation occures do they work at corrrecting. If we want say a fruit pair that is at the buffet but not on the breakfast menu,,,will they go out of their way.

Given that on most ships - including Celebrity - the buffet is at the complete opposite end of the ship than the MDR (not to mention deck!), I don't know of any that would allow an MDR server to take time away from their other guests to go and get a "fruit pair" (whatever that is) from the buffet. That is FAR from "reasonable" service.

Honestly it sounds like a private yacht might be more your speed if that is the kind of service you expect.

Uh,  that sounds more like unreasonable service.

We had some problems on the cruise (covid) and they were incredibly helpful and generous.

We sailed to Antarctica and South America on her in February. She is showing her age a bit, yet still a marvelous lady. Service was top notch; they go out of their way to please. Our sommelier was one of the best we’ve ever had. We were in a suite, we had no issues with service anywhere on the ship.

You will receive, in general, the same level of service no matter which of the Celebrity ships you are on. Some seem to be run a little smoother than others, but that varies with the staff and the officers. Also, you will get, once again in general, more personalized service if you are in Blue or Luminae. Celebrity has certain standards and all the ships are pretty interchangable when it comes to service.

So your question about Infinity is not about the service because the ship is old, but the about the actual ship itself because it is old.

Our personal choice is that we won't sail on Infinity again. We were on it before the pandemic and it was showing wear in many places. We have also sailed on the Summit (same class of ship) after it was refurbished and really liked the decor and the changes. It was a huge upgrade from Infinity. But we sailed it again in December and it too is showing its age.

After sailing on Edge and Beyond, M-class ships are out for us. We like the new ships.

Princess and HAL did it without asking for it to be done.  Last email since we have different expectation n cruising.

We have booked Infinity for next September. We are expecting what we have paid for…An older ship so a few age wrinkles, not upgraded so not upgraded!

What we do still expect is Celebrity service levels, decent food and the usual ambiance we expect from a Celebrity Ship…A focus on rest and relaxation…

Re your quote below, I don’t quite know what a fruit pair is but in our experience staff will usually do their best to meet your expectations. We generally have a rule that if we want something not on the general menu we will ask in advance (24 hours)..
