Cruise Suzy Posted July 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2023 With the following itinerary, when would the second "Dressy" Night be? It's usually not the last night when passengers are packing, but the night before we won't depart until after normal dining hours. Would there even be a second "Dressy" Night? I realize the first one would probably be the first Sea Day rather than the day at HMC. Has anyone been on a similar itinerary? Embark Half Moon Cay, Bahamas 10AM - 6PM At Sea Ocho Rios, Jamaica 8AM - 4PM George Town, Cayman Islands 8AM - 5PM Cozumel, Mexico 1PM - 9PM At Sea Disembark
Rare horseymike Posted July 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2023 It’s usually the night after the toga party 🤣 only kidding. Have a great cruise 🚢
CruiserBruce Posted July 10, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2023 There may not be a second dressy night.
Pickalily, Wilts Posted July 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2023 I'm not sure that there is a 'dressy night' any longer, despite the cruiseline's suggestion from day to day. A decade ago, it was usual to see a fair number of men in a tux and women in long or cocktail dresses. Now, almost anything other than your gardening gear counts as 'dressy'. We always make an effort to dress 'appropriately', regardless of the suggested dress code because we would do that when visiting any restaurant on land or sea. In any case, if others don't, it doesn't impact on our enjoyment of the cruise. Times change, but overall the choice is yours. Enjoy your cruise.
Cruise Suzy Posted July 10, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted July 10, 2023 Have been on enough cruises since the restart, that I'm not as concerned about the designated attire as the menu. 2

At least in the "old days", the final night was never Gala because people would have already packed their tuxes and formal gowns! I'd be interested to learn that your second At Sea day was dressy; indicating that HAL was observing that most people are not dressing that way anymore? Agree on the menu!

Florida_gal_50 Posted July 10, 2023 #10 Share Posted July 10, 2023 I suspect there will be 2 dressy nights. Agree that it will probably be Georgetown. I don’t think the gala nights menus are anything to be excited about but whatever floats your boat.

Noticed that Jamaica was on New Year's Eve and "Festive attire" - so maybe Jamaica will be just "Casual attire" for us.
