mailmama Posted July 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2023 Where are the poles located at in these corner sky suites? Same location on every deck? I'd love a room where the pole isn't right next to the bed if possible!

We’ve stayed in one with the pole next to the bed as well as one with the pole next to the couch. On Solstice #2153, deck 12, the pole was next to the couch. On reflection #1665, deck 11, the pole was next to the bed.
mailmama Posted July 24, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted July 24, 2023 I'm sailing on the Equinox and looking for advice about placement of the structural poles in the Sunset sky suites. I'd appreciate any info!
jelayne Posted July 25, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2023 We were on the Reclection and there were 2 poles. One near the bed and the other near the closet. Only ran into the one by the bed once😂
swigso Posted July 25, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2023 We stayed in 9376 on the Reflection, the pole was by the bed but was not really an issue, quickly got used to it and it never was an issue.
swigso Posted July 25, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 25, 2023 The balcony and views were fantastic,
thebutlerdidit Posted July 25, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 25, 2023 Are the poles metal? I’m wondering if a couple of magnets with hooks could be used to anchor a string of fairy lights wrapped around the pole. That would turn it into more of an architectural feature rather than a hindrance. Maybe I’ll pack some and find out.
NCteacherlovescruising Posted July 25, 2023 #8 Share Posted July 25, 2023 We will be in a sunset sky suite on deck 11 and the pole is by the bed. I rarely get up at night so I will sleep on that side. I don’t think it will be an issue.
NorthStarStateCruiser Posted July 25, 2023 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2023 Now I know why these corner suites are so popular. There's a dang stripper pole in the room! 💃💈 1
raudacruise Posted July 25, 2023 #10 Share Posted July 25, 2023 Fantastic view and a porthole window. The porthole really brightens up the room. Booked this suite several times. Only stubbed my toe on The Pole once. I like the idea of fairy lights.🧚♀️

mailmama Posted July 26, 2023 Author #12 Share Posted July 26, 2023 Thanks everyone! I am just afraid I will walk into the pole so I really like the idea of a light string.

shirazcruiser Posted July 28, 2023 #18 Share Posted July 28, 2023 (edited) I tracked these cabins because I wanted the pole on the right side of the bed since DH sleeps on the left side and is taller than me. If it makes a difference to you, sometimes, the port side cabin pole location is opposite from the starboard side and then they alernate odd and even decks. i.e. 9299 (port side) pole is on the right side of bed and 8336 (starboard side) pole is also on the right side, 8345 it's on the left side; however, the pole in 9374 is near the sofa.
