Medallions shipped... but possible cabin change.

August 12 to Norway, we are in a balcony cabin.  I did get notice today that our medallions have shipped.  It's my assumption that those are programmed to access our balcony cabin.

 

We do have a rather aggressive bid on an upgrade to as Reserve Collection mini-suite.  We may or may not end up in that cabin.

 

If we DO end up in the mini-suite in the last few days before we board, how does that change our boarding?  Do we ask for new medallions or...what?

They can change the medallions for you on the ship or on the dock.  It won't be a problem.

You don’t need to do anything. They will automatically change for you, if you change cabins, prior to sailing.

No need to change medallions at all. All the medallions have is a code that links you to the shipboard database. It will open whatever cabin door you are assigned to.

That is correct this happened to us when we changed cabins after we had the medallions in our hands. It will automatically move to your new cabin

Your medallion has a unique code attached to it.  The unique code on your Medallion will be programmed into the cabin entry system on embarkation day.  You unique code doesn’t change (unless you lose your Medallion and you get a new one.)  It’s the door entry system that is reprogrammed not your Medallion.
