Amsterdam Airport Hotel near train station

We will be disembarking at the cruise port and then plan to take a taxi to an airport hotel to drop off our luggage.  Then we hope to take a train to the city for the day and return to the hotel. We have an early plane the next day.

Is this a good idea?  Is there a train stop close to a hotel that is close to the airport?  Suggestions would be appreciated. Which hotel do you suggest?

Thank you!

At the airport are the Hilton and Sheraton Hotel, more hotels close to the airport. The train stop is right under the airport, down from the arrival hall. . Many hotels offer a shuttle to/from the hotel to and from the airport.

Apart from that there is another trainstation in Hoofddorp in case your hotel is there.

Why not stay in Amsterdam and take an early cab the next morning?

OP, if your motivation for staying at the airport is easy access for your early flight, I would say Amsterdam is one of the cities where this should be the least of your worries. Easy transport from the centre to the airport, even early morning.

Of course, you may get a better deal near the airport - hotels in Amsterdam are eye wateringly expensive these days - but don't forget to factor in the transport costs there, back and there again, as well as the time it takes out of your day.

We have stayed at the Sheraton the last three times we have flown in and out. Can’t beat it for convenience. Very nice am brunch too. Very convenient and easy for getting into the city and elsewhere.
Agree staying in Amsterdam is very nice and fun for wandering if you have some extra time.

You may want to check out the train station for locker storage for your luggage so you do not have to spend extra time checking into your airport hotel and returning back into the city.
