Disembarkation Procedure in Vancouver?

Good morning:

 

It's been a long while since I disembarked a cruise ship in Vancouver and have forgotten the procedure.  Assuming we need to clear Canadian customs at the port and then is it US customs and immigration at the airport???

Yes, Canadian customs and immigration at the port for entry into Canada.

 

Then, at Vancouver airport, U.S. customs and immigration if, and only if, you are flying directly into the United States.

It is actually quick and easy. Last summer we were required to fill out the ArriveCan App before boarding at the beginning of the cruise. Canadian Immigration used this to clear us before arriving back in Vancouver. We were given a Customs card to hand to a border agent after retrieving our luggage.  From the time I walked out of the ship to getting my luggage and leaving the terminal was about 10 minutes.  Hopefully they still use the same procedure.

Am I correct that ArriveCan is no longer used for land/sea crossings?

When I disembarked in June, customs was quick but the taxi line took over an hour.

Correct. ArriveCan is no longer required.

If the taxi line is long when disembarking at Vancouver, is a ride sharing service such as Lyft or Uber quicker.  Our flight from Vancouver to the US leaves at 11:45 AM.  We plan on self disembarking at the earliest time.

Lyft and Uber are available, yes.

You could also walk 2 blocks and take the skytrain to the airport in less than 30 min. Trains leave every 6 min or so.
