Bourbon On Carnival Ships

DH and I are Bourbon enthusiasts. We’re considering getting the Cheers package, but only if they have a decent selection of Bourbons. Does anyone have a recent list of the bourbons available on Carnival? Please share. 🙂

If ship matters, it will be the Spirit out of Seattle.

Thanks,

Ashley

Woodford or Buffalo Trace.  Usually found BT in casino bars.  Once I found Sazarac Rye.

Thank you. Seems like a very limited selection. I love BT, but was hoping that they’d have Blanton’s, Wellers, Angel’s Envy, and a few others.

I have heard from others the Steakhouse may have others but Celebration did not nor our Pride cruise.  I usually go bar to bar and check it out when I get on.

I am with you though about the others.  If I had a way to smuggle in my Eagle Rare I would do that😜.

Just cruise on a ship with a Guy's Pig and Anchor bar, they always carry Eagle Rare. Guy's always has the best whisky/bourbon selection in the fleet.

Will have to see, I just know when we were on Celebration they didn’t have much.

As a whiskey and scotch enthusiast myself, there are two venues that I wish Carnival had on their ships:  a small whiskey bar with higher end scotch and whiskeys and a proper Irish or English pub with draft pub ales and ciders like Guinness, Boddington's and Bulmer's. Maybe even serve small plates of fish and chips with Sarson's malt vinegar (it HAS to be Sarson's. Heinz malt vinegar is crap).

I put this in every post-cruise survey. If enough people do that maybe they will listen.

I posted this once on here and was asked "where would you expect Carnival to put these on older ships"? My reply was there are several underused places on the ships. On Conquest class ships, the smaller lounges on Deck 5  that are just forward of the aft lounge on the port side -- these places sit vacant most all day during cruises and are only sometimes used for karaoke in the evening. On Dream and Vista class, the Library/Library Wine bar, which are seldom used and always empty.

Pro tip for Blanton's lovers. The duty free shop at the port as you exit the ship in Progreso sells bottles of Blanton's for $50. When booking quick getaway 4 or 5 day cruises, like we did on Valor earlier this summer, I intentionally make sure there is a stop in Progreso just so I can grab a few bottles of Blanton's.

Was just on the Legend, which is a very old ship, and they didn't have anything exciting but did have blantons in the steakhouse. I'm surprised to see people post that the Celebration didn't have much for a new ship. That's our next cruise, so we'll see.

Love this idea!!

That price for Blanton’s now makes Progreso a desirable stop! 🙂

Like everyone said, steakhouse bar is your best bet on that ship. It's always on the list, but if they have it is a different story. Usually the highest they have is Woodford/Makers & Maybe Basil.

Also, I wish Progresso had Blanton's when we went back in February. They didn't have anything from BT. Must've been a bad time to stop. lol

Ever since Covid the bourbon selection has been pretty rough across all cruise lines. Hopefully BT's new expansions will start to help the supply in a few years.

Taters will be taters!

I’ve been on a lot of carnival and princess ships..none of them stock that good bourbon. (And you nailed the great value bottles with that list there!)
