Enchanted - Back2Back Question

Please excuse In advance if this has been answered before...

We booked back2back cruises in November on Enchanted, first the 11 day Grand Mediteranean then the 15 Day Transatlantic and  unsure what we are required to do on the "turnaround day" Nov 23rd after arrival at Civitivecchia. Older posts on topic seem to indicate mandatory disembarkation (e.g. U.S. Ports) but some report it was not necessary in EU/UK.

Can someone advise if we will need to check-out with luggage, disembark and re-board again?

It was not possible to reserve the same stateroom for both cruises, however they are located on the same deck directly opposite each other.

Appreciate any assistance! (waited on hold for hours with customer service only to be transfered and disconnected.)

In Italy it is treated the same as any other port day. You will have to arrange to have your belongings moved to your new cabin. Speak with your cabin stewards. If you are on the same floor you may be able to do some of the move yourselves. Leave as much on hangers in the closet as possible. The staff will move your closet stuff on a cart and hang them in your new closet. Load the balance into your luggage. You may be able to wheel this over to the new cabin or the staff will handle it. Bring your security items to the new cabin and lock them into the new safe. You and the occupants of your new cabin are asked to be out of your cabins by 8am.

Was on Enchanted in June B2B.  In Europe you don't have to leave ship to do transit.

You can stay on the ship or get off to sight see. Medallion is good for both cruises

and room.

All you have to do to change rooms. Leave your clothes hanging. Pack everything up.

They will send someone to help you move with a cart. Tell the room steward of new cabin

to clean your room first if he can so you can move.

Seeing your rooms are close you might have the same room steward for both. Plus being so

close you could move your things yourself if you wanted.

Enjoy your cruise.

Was writing as Sky was posting. If have same room steward he should let

you stay in old cabin (even if passed 8 am) till your new cabin is ready.

Just ask him.

If by directly opposite you mean one cabin is on the port side and the other on the starboard side then it is unlikely you will have the same cabin steward. If you mean across the hall then you probably will have the same steward.

Nice to hear the changeover will be easier than expected.

Thank You both very much for the help and CC for being a great resource!

No worries! We've have done these many times on Princess and the ship staff has it down pat. They have done this many times. As mentioned earlier, leave your clothes hanging in the closet and pack everything else in your suitcases and the steward will transport it for you. Just remember to clear your safe out. We put those valuables in my backpack until we can get in our new room. We mention to the steward we are changing cabins, but even though we have never had a single issue before of recent I have started to print out a single luggage tag for the second leg of the cruise then have placed it on top of one of our bags just as a reminder of the move.

We are book on these same cruises with you. Hope to see you aboard.
