Thanks for sharing this. Seems like a good compromise, in my view. That new pier named, Moll Adossat, is where were boarded our cruise ship this past April. It was a fairly easy taxi ride from our hotel on the La Rambla. It is only a couple miles from the Columbus monument. But from the train station to the ship is too far to walk and the cabs are a rip off with very high fares for a 5 min. ride. The last time we were in Rome on a cruise, we took the next to last train back to give us some leeway for not missing the ship. It was very hot, and even hotter on the crowded train.
