How to purchase OBC for family

Our son and his wife are sailing on the Caribbean Princess in 2024 and we'd like to purchase OBC for them as a xmas present. Is there a way I can do this on line at princess.com? I have all the pertinent details - ship, sail date, room, reservation.

I think these are the options:

 

1.  Sign in as them and order the OBC under Onboard Services, paying with your CC.  They will "see" this if checking their credits ahead of time.

2.  Phone Princess and make your request.  Pay over the phone.  It is possible this way they won't see anything before boarding the ship - I think.  Hope someone can comfirm.

Believe Steelers is on target. Pre-covid I just called Princess, in the easy days of calling, and purchased some wine for friends. They only found out once on board.

Pretty sure that you could just give them a Princess gift card and they could apply it to their account once onboard.

I would just log in as them into their Personalizer and purchase OBC with your credit card. As Steelers36 mentioned above, they will see it in their Travel Summary and it will show whenever they look at their Personalizer. I would not try to do it with the overseas call center, most likely you will get someone who will have no idea how to do it.

Princess website - "onboard our ships" Celebrate with Princess on the right side. Cruise gifts and services - "Princess Cruises Gift Cards OR Right and Down "onboard Credit".   Just did it.

I just buy the gift cards and they can have it applied once they are on board
