Rare Niagarawine Posted November 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2023 Good morning from Rotterdam. The seas are calm. Room service breakfast was delicious with bacon eggs sausages and granola with yoghurt. The coffee is really good. Gonna try the thermal suite today. 11

VeggieHead Posted November 25, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2023 We're sailing on Rotterdam next Sunday. Can't wait! We've been on the Koningsdam to Alaska, but this is our first on Rotterdam. Looking forward to the warm weather - we're forecasted for 2-4" of snow tonight.

Rare Niagarawine Posted November 25, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted November 25, 2023 Pinnacle grill this evening and we have met some lovely people on the ship. The Dutch Cafe is a bit winner with lattes and cappuccino. Went to the thermal suite this morning and highly recommend it . I feel like a new woman . Met some people trying Holland for the first time and they were impressed with the ship. They had many sailings on other lines.
Rare Niagarawine Posted November 25, 2023 Author #9 Share Posted November 25, 2023 Room service is very good. I can recommend the roast beef panini and the chocolate cake isn’t bad either. Had room service breakfast and they brought double orders of everything. Dh managed to go through it all. Had bacon eggs sausages yoghurt and excellent coffee.

CHOPPERTESTER Posted November 26, 2023 #17 Share Posted November 26, 2023 No sign of Gilligan or the Skipper. Would have fit them all. It was a large rectangular one, I’d say at least a 10-person one with no canopy. They pulled it onboard to avoid other ships stopping. 3

Rare Niagarawine Posted November 26, 2023 Author #19 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Good afternoon we went to the Pinnacle last evening and I was a bit disappointed. The crab cakes were delicious but the rest of the meal as meh. I ordered lamb chops and didn’t care for them. The baked potato was grey. Bread was hard and my husband had the scallops and enjoyed them.
Rare Niagarawine Posted November 26, 2023 Author #20 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Went to the Dive in today and the burgers and fries were excellent imho. Then gelato, thermal, suite and nap time. The captain is very visible on this cruise. Nice group of passengers also. 3
Rare CruisingAndDiving Posted November 26, 2023 #21 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Quick question for those on Rotterdam right now. Would anyone be able to check the duty free shop to see if they carry Glen Deveron 16 year old scotch for purchase? I am hoping to bring a bottle home with me in 3 weeks!

jeh10641 Posted November 27, 2023 #23 Share Posted November 27, 2023 We sailed on Rotterdam in December 2021. Of all the cruises we have been on, it remains our favorite. I wish it sailed from the West Coast. Jim

We sailed on the Rotterdam in July and found the scotch selection to be the best anywhere on the high seas! I particularly enjoyed the Dalwhinnie 15 year single malt. However I did have a host of other fine scotch including McCallan Terra which was excellent but very pricey. See you at the half moon bar!
pedirn Posted November 27, 2023 #25 Share Posted November 27, 2023 Boxes all over the lobby on deck 2. All marked Christmas. Thinking decorations are going up over the two days we are in Aruba.
