The Patio

I am boarding the Onward tomorrow.  Has the Patio been open for lunch recently on embarkation day?  Also, are any people boarding before the 1:30-2:00 time period listed on the website?

Windows for lunch on boarding day. Last trip (this month) boarding started for Priority @ 1:30pm...there have been reports of boarding as early as 12:30 on occasion but this seemed an exception,

I don't think I've ever seen the Patio open for lunch on embarkation day. It's a major throughput and with people and their hand luggage passing through, not practical.

Interestingly, there is a sign posted on Quest this morning ‘Due to technical issue The Patio is closed until further notice’.

That’s always been my experience. I’ve also often not seen it open on the evening of Day 1 but I suspect as reported this varies from cruise to cruise and may also be down to hotel director preference and whether it’s a large staff turnover day or not

DH said the sign is already down, so Patio should be back open.

The sign was up to prevent through traffic on the day of the BBQ on deck - all of the food and the barbecue itself were located in the Patio area. The notice was removed as soon as the area was cleared
