  1. Is anyone besides me experiencing fluctuating OBC amounts since adding the 10% Full Payment Benefit? My total has been randomly changing, up and down, since adding the new OBC benefit. The “add-on” just says 10% without an actual amount, but the total keeps changing.
  2. My husband and I are very interested in participating in the Make Your Own Rum excursion through our cruise ship the Azamara Journey. My husband has had a leg amputation, has a prosthesis, and uses a cane for stability. The ship’s description of this excursion does not recommend it for guests with limited mobility. My question is whether anyone has done this excursion and can comment on how much walking over uneven pavement is involved both getting from the ship to the bus as well as at the site itself.
  3. I just checked my account and have lost $323.26 of OBC since yesterday…an odd amount! What is with their website??
  4. I also received the offer for my B2B this November. My travel agent is on vacation until Monday, and, of course, Azamara won’t talk to me about financial information, but the agent I just spoke with did tell me that the 10% was based on the total cruise only fare (minus taxes) rather than on any balance due. The email is not clear…has anyone received the OBC based on the original cruise fare?
  5. If I purchase an Experience More Essentials package using OBC before the cruise, could 1 person upgrade to the Ultimate Drinks on board for the $8 per day, less the loyalty discount? Has anyone ever done this?
  6. I assume you are currently on board the ship if you were able to get your loyalty discount? So, is Azamara testing the waters to see how much the market will bear?
  7. Good news about the cost of the ultimate package upgrade; I hope it is consistent across the fleet. We’re on the Journey, but not until November. I’m hoping these prices can hold for the rest of the year. Have a great cruise. I look forward to following along!
  8. I assume you are boarding the Quest. I would be interested in whether the dining packages and the ultimate drink package have increased in price as has been reported on the Journey. Have a great cruise!
  9. I just spoke to an Azamara representative who verified with a supervisor that the loyalty discount would have to be applied on the ship. She could upgrade me to the ultimate beverage package today for $26.95 per person per day and use OBC. (She also said that while pricing fluctuated with shore excursions, that dining and beverage package pricing was set in stone!!). On the ship with my 20% discount if the cost is increased to $39.95 per day, I would be paying $31.96 per day, $5 more per person per day, and we’re doing a 25 day B2B. I agree that this makes a mockery of the loyalty benefit…it’s hard to understand why they can’t apply the loyalty discount if they are now willing to prebook packages using OBC. I also think that if packages are going to increase drastically that Azamara should notify everyone with existing reservations and give them an opportunity to purchase before the price actually increases. I have a decision to make. On another note, is it true that any unused OBC from the first leg of a B2B would carry over to the 2nd leg? I thought I had read that this was happening now, but this representative said the OBC is technically separate according to Azamara’s policy, and if OBC is carrying over it is due to the way personnel are handling it on a particular ship.
  10. I’m looking at the Experience More Essentials package for my B2B this year…12 days followed by 13 days. I know that I would have to purchase 2 separate packages. I have a few questions. Would the shore excursion credit be lumped together or would it stay separated at $300 for each leg? The WiFi is described as WiFi Plus. What does the “plus” mean? Are you allowed to upgrade your drink package to the ultimate package for $8 per person per day?

  13. It’s interesting that the prices for the specialty dining packages are no longer listed on the website. I wonder if the prices are going to increase in the near future.

    Boarding Time

    We just arrived at Port Everglades to board the Onward. Check in began at 11:00; however, we are waiting in a holding area until approximately 1:15 to actually board the ship. Everything has been organized so far.

    I am boarding the Onward tomorrow. Has the Patio been open for lunch recently on embarkation day? Also, are any people boarding before the 1:30-2:00 time period listed on the website?

    Just curious… for those having issues, was your OBC correctly displayed online before you sailed or had the discrepancies always been there? I sail next week and my OBC finally is displaying correctly. I wonder what I’ll find when I board!

    I’m also showing a discrepancy. Has anyone verified with Azamara the different amounts of OBC showing with the coupons compared to the amount/available amount on the landing page? Wondering what kind of issues I’ll have onboard…which will they “see” on the ship?

  23. Interesting…after your post I went back on the website and the ultimate package is $23.95 per day, just has its been for a while. An hour ago, it was showing as $26.95 per day and it was $8 more than the premium package. Under my Add-Ons, it’s working out to $26.95 per day…weird.
