surgie Posted November 30, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2023 I know we can't bring extension cords or chargers with cords. Can someone recommend a multi-plug outlet that is approved to charge multiple US devices? I've read that Radiance is a bit short on outlets being an older ship. Thanks. Rare RobInMN Posted November 30, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Most of the reason I need to plug anything in is for charging devices. Instead of plugging in multiple single-device charger plugs, I travel everywhere with this (recently replaced an older version that had no USB-C): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BX3V6ZZX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 And in Europe and cruise ships with: A few of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058EG0KC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 And a couple of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YDF8GCT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
smokeybandit Posted November 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Getting one that fits the Euro outlets is your best bet.

ATG Posted December 3, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2023 I ordered something from Amazon that has 3 plug ins and 4 USB spots. It specifically said cruise ship allowable. It was great, not expensive and we had no trouble with it on our last cruise on Mariner.

bmblob Posted December 3, 2023 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2023 I found that the cheapest and easiest plug is an old school 3 way grounded extension one like this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-15-Amp-3-Outlet-Grounded-AC-DC-Adapters-White-LA-10/306625668. I also bring a simple two thin round prong Euro converter plug that fits in both the stateroom and around the ship (when you need to charge something when you are out and around). These are the easiest and smallest items to pack/bring.
sunonfire Posted December 3, 2023 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2023 I just got off the Constellation similar size and age to Radiance. There was an extra US plug behind the TV. Does anyone know if that is true on the Radiance. We are sailing her in February.
Starry Eyes Posted December 4, 2023 #11 Share Posted December 4, 2023 We have this one. We use the usb and sometimes use the nightlight function. We do not tend to carry 220v items, so we generally keep the plugs covered and unused. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CC5DVWVQ/ref=emc_b_5_mob_t
lovesthebeach2 Posted December 4, 2023 #12 Share Posted December 4, 2023 I bought this because I can plug it into the European outlet and still have the American outlet for my other multiple device adapter.
The Scurvy Pirate Posted December 4, 2023 #13 Share Posted December 4, 2023 If you try to plug in a true 110 device (like a small desk fan) in to the simple EU adapter, it will fry your 110 device as the adapter keeps its at 220. I use the below converter without any issues (of course now showing not available on Amazon). No surge protection so all is good. Also, don't try to plug your blow dryer into the converter unless its rated for high watts. Found that out the hard way.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09M42B2V8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=
teddie Posted December 4, 2023 #14 Share Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BHVKPC3?psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_ct_4HC4VGR58PNXFP36BTZV This one is supposedly approved by the major cruise lines as it does not have surge protection.I have used this on our last two cruised.
