tbmrt Posted December 4, 2023 #1 Posted December 4, 2023 Have trip cancellation, delay, emergency helicopter, etc on my Chase card. Need to get just medical insurance. Suggestions appreciated. Insurance expensive due to our ages
raphael360 Posted December 4, 2023 #2 Posted December 4, 2023 It appears you're familiar with Geoblue from the title of your post. Any reasons you are going in that direction?
Rare CineGraphic Posted December 4, 2023 #3 Posted December 4, 2023 We've bought the annual GeoBlue policy for the past 4 or 5 years. Thankfully, we've never had to use it.

I'm afraid of pre-existing condition rules. If your "pre-existing conditions" are stable, without changes in 60-90 days, they actually are not a problem with most plans. Just having, say, high blood pressure -- if treated and controlled -- it not necessarily a red flag. As I understand it. We got GeoBlue Trekker at the end of 2019 (!) -- went on one international trip, had six cruises booked -- cruises all cancelled! Let the policy lapse. Last month, I detailed all our concerns to TripInsuranceStore.com and Deanna got back to me on a SUNDAY (!) and said it sounded like GeoBlue Trekker (we will get the Choice higher coverage this time) was still a good choice for us. You don't have to get it ahead of your first travel! But that's us, not you, you should either email or call Steve or Deanna, or their associates, and see what they recommend! It won't cost you more to use their portal. Edited December 4, 2023 by crystalspin
Ashland Posted December 23, 2023 #6 Posted December 23, 2023 We just renewed our GeoBlue Trekker policy for the 4th time...fingers crossed we never have to use it but at our age we won't travel without it. 1
