Drinks On Us Everywhere --- now it's On Us Premium?

We're on the Liberty now, and I just noticed that our drink charges on our account are notated as "On Us Premium". I'm not sure if that represents some change to their system (either in function of the program, or just name).

 

It appears that this change occurred prior to us boarding the ship on Friday (image of some type of transaction):

 

 

 

Anyone have experience with this?

That's just what they call it in the POS system, it's still Drinks on Us Everywhere in marketing materials.

 

But maybe they plan on introducing more tiers of the DOU program in the future and this is the first step of that, we'll see.

On the Celebration in October, and all prior sailings since we've been booking with On Us Everywhere promos, they were using the word Everywhere instead of Premium.

 

From my perspective though - it just works like it has in the past. If I think about it this evening, I might ask the host.

Was on Miracle until the 10th, and there was no transaction like this showing.

Last night was rocky - woke up a couple of times through the night having to deal with banging closet doors and such.

Drinks on US premium is the casino's equivalent to the CHEERS package which is available everywhere on the ship.  Compared to Drinks On Us in the casino, valid only while playing.

Not having much luck with searching - so my apologies if I'm missing a post...

 

I know Cheers doesn't work the first day out of Galveston - what about the Drinks On Us Everywhere?  I'm reading that does in fact work upon boarding, can anyone confirm?  We're on Jubilee next month.

My experience was we had to wait until the casino opened for drinks everywhere to work the first day out of Galveston.

Don't know about drinks everywhere but drinks on us while gambling starts when the casino opens. I have only cruised out of Galveston. I really liked the Jubilee casino the craps table was on the no smoking side and you could smell the leather of the chairs, of course it was the first cruise.

Although they include a disclaimer on your confirmation saying that the Drinks On Us benefit is not available on embarkation day for sailings departing from Galveston, as mentioned in a couple of posts above, and from my own experience as well, DOU everywhere will be activated once the Casino opens.

I noticed this on the Panorama last month but not for every drink. I think it might be when you order premium liquor and it showed up when I ordered Grey Goose or Patron. I just looked at my invoice and it either says On Us Premium - bar name or just lists the bar name, it was like that for all the bars. I don’t remember seeing it listed like that before, maybe they are thinking of selling two tiers of drink packages and they could do the same with Drinks On Us comps. I’ll ask the bartenders about it when I’m on the Panorama again next week.

I vaguely remember seeing this on and off the past year too (I think).  I'll pay attention on Jubilee next month too and see how things are listed...

Any idea if an RU4 Cheers to You will work similarly out of Galveston? Or would we need to wait for Day 2 at 6am for it to be activated?

Not sure.  don’t know that specific code, if its a casino offer I would guess it would work the same. If it’s not a casino offer I think it may start day two.

I guess we will find out once we board the Jubilee later this year.

RU codes are not casino offers.  So they would start day 2 out of Galveston.
