barric Posted January 7 #1 Share Posted January 7 We are booked in a Grand Suite, Vision of the Seas, March sailing. Today we received our Royal Up invitation for bidding. The Royal Suite description states: Enjoy our Royal Suite with a comfortable bedroom, a spacious living area and a private balcony plus extra perks for suite guests. The other suite options do not mention extra perks. Anyone know what these are? Anything beyond what we are already entitled to in our Grand Suite? Help very much appreciated. I think it means suites get extra perks. Just the regular extra perks but they get more than non suites. It's the wording throwing you off I think. Cigar King Posted January 7 #3 Share Posted January 7 They do, at times do special things for you. For example we had the bridge and kitchen tours last year.

RFerrington Posted January 7 #5 Share Posted January 7 I think most of the ships do an escorted embarkation for the RS guests. That’s about it as far as I know. Nothing like dining or beverage packages or internet (unless your suite already provides you with internet as a Suites perk, which Vision does not). Uniqeni Posted January 7 #6 Share Posted January 7 We got alot of perks you wouldn't think of normally above what the other suites got. We got special invitations to private gatherings. We got a personal invite to one of the lounges for a private cocktail party with top guests, heads of each department etc. Each department head personally sat with and chatted with us privately. Got to meet the captain. Invited to and brought on tours. Personal boarding on the Ship prior to all others and toured the ship before other guests were allowed on. Private lunch in chops. So much champagne, wine, caviar, petit fours, and other foods we had to ask them to stop.

Unfortunately we didn’t get any escorts during our Alaska south bound in the RS. We also had to do the express walk off on our own. We survived though. I did hear that upon occasion in the RS you can get an escort to the tenders for ports that have them.

We were offered escort to tenders while in a grand suite , he was a great concierge.
