Venice access fee

The Venice access fee went into effect last week. When I went into their website (cda.ve.it) and input my date of entry on the calendar, it advanced to the next screen where the date displayed was the day prior to the one I requested. The fee was scheduled to begin on April 25 and as a test I inputted this date and on the next screen the 24th was displayed where no registration or fee is required. Has anyone tried using the site yet?

I have not. Is your question whether it is working, or something else?

It's my understanding that the fee will only apply to some days (not all) during peak travel periods. Mostly weekends. It's unclear from your post whether you are aware of this already so forgive me if I'm giving you info you already had.

Additional details are given in this post:

I appreciate your response. I am aware it is only pertains to certain days and unfortunately, my time in Venice falls on those days. My concern is that when I input the days that I will be in Venice, and go to the next screen it changes the date to the day before which is actually not a date that needs registration. Very strange. Wonder if there is a glitch.

Ahhh, got it. My first thought was that it might have to do with the time difference, but that doesn't seem right as the time zone in Italy is ahead of the US, not behind it.

Maybe give it a few days and try again.

I also considered the time difference but it didn’t make sense to me either.
I will check in a few days to see if it is corrected. Thank you.

We will be in Venice for 2 separate days, so fee applies to us 2x. My problem is when I input either date, the next screen displays the previous day.
When I input the first day (April 25) subject to the fee, just to double check (will not be there on that date), the next screen displays date of visit is April 24, which is not a date subject to the fee and asks for travelers info. I am so confused and unfortunately there is not a contact email on this site.

I just entered April 26 and the next screen displayed date of visit: April 25.

The correct date is showing for me!

Selected April 25th and next page shows April 25th

I am heading there in May and staying right in Venice and the place I am staying told me not to use the website as they will deal with this as part of the billing ror accomodation.     Just as an FYI as I would not want you to pay twice.

VMax1700, I wonder if the problem is that you are in Ireland and I am in the US. I don’t understand why this should make a difference because it is now the  23 of Jan. in both locations and the date inputted is the day of our future visit and not today’s date.

I did it on my laptop using Windows 11 and  chrome.

I have just tried it on my Samsung S21FE/Android 14 and checking on two different dates in April and May it works fine.

I will look for my tablet and try it on that........

It is currently 11.10 pm on Wednesday 23, here in Ireland, but in Italy it is 00.10 am on Thursday 24th and all 3 devices are working as expected.  Date selected is the date offered to book.

So it does not appear to be time difference causing the problem

Do you have a VPN you can use and select a European server to try?

Unfortunately, the VPN suggestion didn’t work.
I just checked and it still shows the prior day. We even tried our pc in addition to our iPad and android tablet, getting the same result. I made a reservation yesterday inputting the day after we plan on entering Venice, and it displayed the date prior (the correct date). Upon completing our purchase, the order displaying the QR code reverted to the date on the original screen ( a day too late). Fortunately we were able to cancel the order.  The screen was displayed in Italian and my husband used google translate to make the transaction. Since  I have some time, I will try again at a later date inputting our required date.  I appreciate everyone’s help. This process has certainly been very confusing and frustrating.

We used Safari, Chrome, DuckDuckGo, and VPN into Italy and Sweden.

🤷‍♀️  I give up!!

(For research purposes, I also just tried it on my Mac using Chrome and Firefox and got the same result as you -- I select one of the highlighted dates that require a fee and on the following page the date displayed is the previous day.  It must be a geographical issue but it doesn't make any sense!)

Thanks for trying. Has to be geographical since the only person who tried it and is not having this problem is VMax1700 who is located in Ireland.
Next week (I am taking a break), I will try inputting the actual date I want to enter and ignore the date on the second screen. Hopefully, it will display a QR code with the original date I input as it did when I placed the order yesterday.

Do not use google translate but select the english version of the website.

I have encountered numerous date problems when using a pre defined date field with google translate.

If you cannot find the english version then put /en/ at the end of the address.

Click the IT at top right side of webpage and select EN
