After the cruise......When does your debit card finally get charged?

It's been 2 days since I got off the ship and my debit card still does not show the total charge just little holds. When will the grand total show up?

I am sure Carnival will say it is up to your bank and the bank will say it is up to Carnival. We have a similar problem years ago, it took a couple of weeks to resolve it.

Mine usually adjusts after about 5 days.

It takes a few days for things to catch up.

I've seen it be anywhere from a few days to over a week.

Typically within a few days. But could be up to a week depending on your financial institution.

 

For me (I use a credit card), it will show the holds, then after about 1-2 days it all goes away for maybe a day (woohoo no charges!!), then the total amount (just one charge) will show up as pending the day after and finally posts within 1-2 days on my CC statement.

I know it's not your question - but if you have a credit card - you should use it for things like this - never tie up your actual money for travel.   Much easier to dispute any issues if it's a credit card!

Thanks everyone!!!  It showed up late last night. The grand total plus one 30 dollar hold, don't know what it is for.
