Miami-Girl Posted February 13 #1 Share Posted February 13 I am about to sail away on the 35 days Hawaii & French Polynesia on the Konigsdam. I cannot find information about the schedule of the tender in Moorea the day it stays overnight. I asked HAL (Chat) and they said it is at the discretion of the Captain.. I understand the timing of the last tender will depend on weather conditions, but if someone has been on this cruise before..? I'd like to see a show in Moorea, but I am reluctant to book it without having an idea of a "normal" tender schedule,

OlsSalt Posted February 13 #3 Share Posted February 13 (edited) If you have an overnight stop in Moorea, think about leaving the ship and staying in one of the over-the-water bungalow hotels which often also have "shows". We found the most cost-effective closely hotel was the older Moorea Pearl, to finally check this experience off our bucket list. Update - now called the Maneva Beach Resort: https://www.tahiti.com/hotels/moorea-pearl-resort-and-spa-2977 Edited February 13 by OlsSalt

LocoLoco1 Posted February 15 #5 Share Posted February 15 Been there several times. Tenders from ship/shore shuttle back and forth most all hours of daylight at Captains discretion if there’s no storms.

In 2022 on the Noordam, we got off the ship before 8AM. It was not a problem. I am almost positive we could have gotten off at 7AM. The only variable is, as always, the weather. I have an 8 AM tour for our second day in Moorea. I am not concerned. I hope this helps. Edited February 15 by SonuvaBeach

I am looking at a SCUBA trek for the 2025 version of this cruise. I walked off with SonouvaBeach at 7:15 for our 8:00 a.m snorkel on the north side of the island. Just be aware, our return taxi that was prearranged never showed up. We flagged down the only taxi we saw while waiting and all was well in the end. We were preparing to walk the 5 miles back to port which wouldn't have been terrible except Moorea was hot if you weren't on the water.
FlaviaOfTheMonth Posted September 15 #10 Share Posted September 15 When you say you "walked off", this is a tender port right? Our docs say "Bahia D Opunoha" but my understanding is this is a tender port.

I should have also mentioned we overnighted the night before so this was our second day in Moorea and the ship was already anchored and tenders in place.
