Wine purchase at IAH

Cruise from Galveston in March, will be flying into IAH . Will arrive 8:30 A M and taking a Princess shuttle to the ship. Hoping to be able to have time to purchase several bottles of wine. Has anyone done this in the past, looking for some guidance on this . Yes I am aware that you can purchase wine at the airport just want info about doing it before boarding shuttle.

Not sure you can purchase wine other than at the duty free store and you need to be on an international outgoing flight to purchase there and the bottles are delivered to your flight. Also, there are 5 terminals at IAH and you won't be flying into the international terminal.

Note - If you are arriving on a Sunday, Texas doesn't allow wine to be sold before 10:00 am on Sundays.  In addition, liquor stores are closed.

Once you get to the terminal.....  if looking at Google maps, there is a convenience store called "Cruise Plaza Grocery" and a liquor store right next to it located at the corner of 19th Street and Harborside Dr.  It is a 10 min walk from Terminal 25, or a 15 minute walk from Terminal 28.... This would be your best bet to get wine after your flight / before your cruise if arriving day of.

Kroger and CVS are a long walk! There are better options including The Cruise Stop at 2418 Strand. It's on the corner of 25th and Strand in sight of the terminals (except Royal). Your choice would be a 30 min walk at a brisk pace.
There is a great Specs on 61st between the freeway and Seawall Blvd if you are driving, but also not within walking distance.
