I understand the Rain is hard to open.

cococruiser Posted February 26 #5 Share Posted February 26 We were on solstice Jan/feb. The bottled water was local water. It seemed to change from port to port.

I don't doubt you or even the officer however I doubt the officer's source and perhaps there's some missing context. X still has aluminum soda cans, why not change those to plastic? Aluminum is one of the easiest materials to recycle and therefore not difficult to locate recycling facilities. They got rid of the cans at the same time they implemented other cost-cutting measures which was why they probably changed...From wiki

This was about where ports are that they offload recycling related to how easy and economical it was.

If you're wondering if they've gone back to aluminum cans, it's a pretty safe bet they've permanently moved on. As biodegradable plastics become cheaper, more and more companies will use them so that's most likely the future

Rare dctravel Posted August 7 #17 Share Posted August 7 Last week on the Solstice in Alaska, the water at the bars was Crystal Geyser. I don't image that will change before they leave North America, as they have pallets of it in the holds (I took the behind the scenes tour).
