why is a P3 cabin on deck 8 under the pool more expensive than a V1 on deck 7 with cabins above/below?

Is the balcony or room bigger...or is there some perk that makes a P cabin better than a V cabin?

Check out the web site for detils.

Same size. If you look at the amenities for each on the Azamara website there are some additions  to the Plus cabins, but for me they aren't worth the trouble.  Certainly the P2 and P3 category. I take position of cabin more seriously. You have to be careful what you are under.

If you have a status with Azamara or a package you might get free or discounted internet and there is free laundry machines on deck 7. With approx 600 aboard priority boarding or deboarding isn't a significant benefit. So 2 free dinners is it. I'll stay wiht a V1 on deck 7 as my choice

We've been in suites on D8 on several occasions. We were not happy with the morning noise of pool chairs being scraped around in circles. That said, the room was larger, and my wife wanted a tub. Life is full of compromises. Now, being in a peasant level veranda room on D8 dealing with the noise for the sake of a few bottles of booze and I believe a single specialty dinner reservation, well, personally, I wouldn't go there. D7 is a much, much better deal. Especially if you have any status (😀) with Azamara. On board credit easily buys the alcohol and the specialty dining, you can bring your own alcohol if you so choose, and you can figure out the internet package. These are somewhat subtle complaints we have with Azamara, dirty laundry we don't want to show the public, but the company could be offering better perks to their very loyal customers. That said, we love Azamara, and have no plans to desert ship, metaphorically or otherwise. Basically, Phil said it all. Stay on Deck 7.

We always stay on Deck 8. 17 cruises and more booked. The small amount of noise in the morning is negligible. CC is much better than P which we have done when no alternative. We don't drink the spirits in the cabin but we prefer the specialist restaurants as with a husband with hearing loss the noise in MDR is a problem for him.

We normally choose 7 and have been quite satisfied.  One year we were upgraded to an accessible CC on 6 and loved it (the extra space especially in the bathroom was appreciated as I had a broken ankle and was in a full boot at the time).   Our upcoming cruise we purposely decided on a CC on 8, just to pamper ourselves with the extra room and specialties but tried to choose a cabin that was not directly under the pool deck area.  We are early risers and ours is a very port intensive cruise, so I am hoping there won't be too much noise.  (Plus we got a very good price from our TA)   But the following cruise we are back to our usual V2 aft on 7.  Personally, I don't think Veranda Plus is worth the extra cost.
