scomar Posted March 23 #1 Share Posted March 23 How easy is it to get an Uber at the cruise terminal to go to FLL airport? Thanks.
Rare cantgetin Posted March 23 #2 Share Posted March 23 We used Lyft and had no trouble. We hit one bad patch of traffic and it took less than an hour. Of course this was a weekend, People swear by the Brightline, but for us the Lyft was easier. We waited at the cruise terminal about 5 minutes for the car to arrive, The cost was about $50 but I won't pretend to remember exactly. We were warned that it would be $150, but that was from someone trying to get us to book their shuttle....

Nachosdelux Posted March 23 #5 Share Posted March 23 (edited) Take a taxi. Easier than Uber and same price (or less) Edited March 23 by Nachosdelux

oakridger Posted March 25 #7 Share Posted March 25 If you mean the Port Everglades cruise terminal, there are taxis waiting right outside the door and the Uber/Lyft pickup area is right next to that. The Port Everglades cruise terminal to FLL airport is only about 4 miles and should be around $20-25. I paid $55 to go all the way to MIA by Lyft in November 2022 and that is about 30 miles. If you mean Miami Cruise terminal than the price quoted by @cantgetin makes sense. Have fun! ~Nancy

Just grab a cab, or two if necessary
Traveling Library Posted March 26 #14 Share Posted March 26 This November we took 2 different taxi rides in Ft Lauderdale. For both the cabbie insisted on being paid in cash after we arrived. Before we got into the taxi I asked if they accepted credit cards. Luckily we had cash but I’ll only do Uber in FFL from now on.

Marie51 Posted April 7 #17 Share Posted April 7 Are there taxis or Ubers that hold six people going back to the airport?

The key point here would be the unstated "with luggage ". There wouldn't be any Ubers that can handle 6 people with luggage, and only a few taxis. You will probably need to split into two vehicles. MacMadame Posted April 7 #20 Share Posted April 7 You can ask for a van when you uber. You may have to wait longer but I've done it and it was pretty easy.
