All good stuff but a minor correction.  The cruise only fare for Zenith booking suites  is not being allowed on cruises that are paid in full. So those of us with paid cruises for April, May and most of June do not get our price adjusted.

We have a b2b starting 9 April and we received a refund for the difference in price for that and the follow-on cruise and both were paid in full.

Cheers

The problem we encountered on 03/31/2024 at the Miami cruise terminal was that there was only one person checking passports, whereas this part of the terminal is set up for ten. Lines were long and crowds were large. Cabs were scarce.

At the Miami airport on that date, we inquired about trains and busses, and were told that there weren’t any running then, and they didn’t serve the area of our gate anyway. Accurate info? IDK, as it is difficult to get info in large airports. But that’s what we were told. There were no “people movers”. We saw none of those electric carts in the over five hours we were stranded there.

This did not involve a Celebrity cruise. We took another like this time. But we probably will cruise Celebrity again in the future. And the fact that Celebrity is going to other ports and airports is good news to us.

The Summit cruise terminal used facial recognition so seemed to go pretty fast although we were I'd guess around the 50th people off the ship

At the airport, we didn't realize the skytrain and shuttle routes only covered a small span of gates until we got there and looked at the map

Are you on the Solstice now? I enquired about the B2B starting April 9th and was told that they do not qualify because I was not Zenith when I booked them 2 years ago.

The Elite breakfast use to be a buffet! Can’t remember when or why (?Covid) it was changed to waiter service.

Like the sit down service much better - fewer people handling the utensils and the food - nice to sit and be served in Tuscan for breakfast

We do not seem to get the great deals as those in the US

When we were on Constellation over the holidays,  Celebrity often charged an exchange of 45% when booking a future cruise.  It was much cheaper booking in US$ than CAD$.  Certain CDN credit cards will offset the exchange rate.

Yes I am defiantly going to try booking through a US based agent again and just pay the exchange on my credit card....it has to be better than the CDN prices Celebrity are quoting as of lately.   Funny, we booked the Nieuw Statendam on a 14 night Egyptian cruise for 2025 and the HAL agent I was on the phone with originally quoted me in US, but when she realized I was in Canada, she requoted in CDN funds and was shocked at the $3000.00 price difference.  This just proves my point.  I may have to re-investigate that booking and rebook with a US cruise agency.

Thanks to everyone who has given me some feedback on this!  Cheers!

Do you recall what night was Lobster night?  We do specialty dining at least three nights and I want to make sure I am not heading to get sushi on that night.  Thanks!!

I believe it was the 9th night…. But I would say check the celebrity app, go the the MDR, then menu, there you will be able to see the menu for each day of the cruise….

Are the smoothies in the Spa Cafe included in the drink package?

If you have the classic drink package: no

If you have the premium drink package: yes

So cut, cut and cut then add, add and add...wallah!  The only constant being change.  Well, I am pleased to see the company sailing in a more positive  direction; just hope the seas stay alive with the changes💟.  I am doing Apex for one cruise, along with a TA(on Apex) to CC; a great way to visit Europe and then see relatives and friends before flying out of Orlando home next year.  It sounds like a great plan, but anything can happen between now and fall of 2025.  I may not enjoy Vista(or maybe I will) on Oceania, but the price was great and it takes me closer to Algarve, Portugal...TBD.  Maybe Oceania will also “get it” like Celebrity...I can only hope.🤩

We got back a week ago from a music charter on summit in a royal suite, everything was great , had two dinners in Tuscan and 3 lunches In sushi on 5, along with two dinners at Le Petit Chef, only issue we had was with management at Le Petit Chef who wanted to charge us a corkage for the wine we brought from home. We then has concierge remove the charge , same thing second night but when I wrote on check saying I would not pay this fee since it is against celebrity policy did they then remove the charge . On a much more positive note we ordered several glasses of mer soleil Chardonnay which was a couple of dollars over premium package and wine steward did not charge us anything. Staff in retreat was fantastic so was service in Luminae and other restaurants. Celebrity staff meet us outside the ship and escorted us all the way to our suite .

After reading your comments, I see where you bought your own bottle of wine from home.  I'm going in February on CC for my 1st Celebrity cruise.  What are the guide lines for bringing your own wine and or soft drinks.  Some cruise lines allow and others don't.  Please advise - Thank you.

One bottle per adult , two max per cabin . Carry them in carryon. If you have a liquor package no corkage fee if you don’t I believe corkage is 25 per bottle, no charge if you open win in cabin.

And that's really a key for us: the itinerary. Both O and our new favorite, Azamara, have great interesting voyages because their smaller ships can get into smaller ports. Like the Gironde estuary in Bordeaux! We still forsee being loyal to X for winters in the Caribbean.

We did miss the vibe on Oceania that we experienced on Celebrity.  We missed the Martini Bar entertainment and the great musical choices in the evening.  O's after dinner choices were a pianist or a string quartet.

We have just returned from our first and last Holland America cruise. Very staid, everything shut down around 10,00pm. Entertainment was poor. Thankfully we have Celebrity booked for September.

We like Azamara for interesting ports, wonderful food and staff but Celebrity for accommodation and entertainment.

Yes we are on board until Vancouver. Our recommendation is to call again and speak with a different agent. This is all very new and like all things recently on X communication is lacking. Seems the decision was made to make these changes without an implementation plan.

The future cruise desk can’t provide Zenith suite pricing yet. So you book your future cruise and then call the Zenith desk to have it repriced.

We have spoken to other Zeniths that have had to call more than once to get corrected pricing

cheers
