Any update on Sun Princess - Love by Britto?

Is there anymore news on when Love by Britto is going to open?  I am already sad they have a smaller menu for Sabatini (no Osso Buco) and a the Catch by Rudy.  I guess that is what we get for booking the cruise so early. We are on the May 11 sailing. Wifey not happy. TIA

This article mentioned it opening mid-April. That isn't far off - we didn't see anything going on up there when we popped up by a couple of days ago.

We are on the same sailing. Hope most everything is up and running by then

We just got off the Sun Princess today and there is no activity in there yet. Our cabin was right outside. Still just a bunch of tables with table clothes on them.

Just an update and FYI. Love by Britto is still not open.  They did do a test run yesterday on our sea day.  But talking to our cabin Stewart he let us know it might still be a while.

 

This was disappointing to us since it was one of venues we hope to get in on.

According to the restaurant manager in the Signature Restaurant it should be up and running next week. Cost: $149.00. 
Can’t wait to try it.

I happened to run across a chef this evening coming out of Britto and he has confirmed that Love by Britto will be open on May 18.  It is only open this week to suite guest by invitation only for testing.

I'm doing dining bookings now for a sun princess cruise November 30th and most of the specialty dining..ie  Meg o mally , Love are already really filling up spellbound is impossible.. There's so little information out there about love I don't know whether the book it  or not.. I'll just have to wait and hope somebody puts out a review, something on YouTube would be nice.. I'll follow this topic  To see if anybody does update once Love is open and running on a regular basis. Happy sailing everyone!

Interesting turn of events. The menu posted in the quoted link shows a price of $149 as do several other sites that I have seen. But I just booked dinner for 3 people on September 21 through the app at a confirmed cost of $79 per person. Not sure what’s up with that, but I’m not complaining.

Love was never at the back of the buffet.  Catch and The Butcher's Block are in that dreadful location but are moving as part of the whole restaurant make-over.  Love is located in its own location on deck 17 aft.  

 

Strangely, neither the Sun nor Star have deck plans on the Princess website anymore.  Princess has really screwed up this new ship launch.

I have 3 dining nights reserved for my 7 day on Sun, cruise after yours. All 3 charged to my credit card. Butchers Block, Uma T, Love.

Not sure I’m going on the Star, yet.

It really shows a lot of detailed info and the experience.

An excellent video.  Thanks for the heads up.  I wonder if the new, lower price reflects an issue with the restaurant being under booked, or if they intend to lessen the overall experience in the future.  At $149 the meal shown in the video becomes debatable in terms of value.  Maybe yes.  Maybe no.  But at $79, it is an absolute steal, especially if the wine included. (And even if not, I assume that all the drinks are within the range of the Premier Package.)

Sounds like Princess it doing a trial with the pricing here.

To me, yes, $149.00 should be more 'experiential'.

Maybe some table side preparation/mixology, or light entertainment.

Ohhhh,  a funny thought too.

I think this venue has an identity problem.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous.  I imagine, in person, with those wake-view windows, better than in photos.   

The food is arguably special and fine-dining.

But the whole concept, and artwork..  looks like a Childs coloring project!!!!

Those yellow stripes remind me of construction caution tape!!!

 

I believe Princess is re-thinking a lot of things right now!!!!

We watched the video and were disappointed that there wasn't anything apart from fancy food and lots of drinks i.e.nothing experiential like 360 and focussing on art. 

 

Looking at the dining menu and beverage menu, my other half would only be comfortable eating two out of the six courses (doesn't like fish or mushrooms) but would love the drinks. And I only like one cocktail but can do the food! So not for us.
