Hi..am looking at the Regal Princess and cabins on Marina deck. All that is left are under the pool or Horizon court. Has anyone stayed in these and do you hear a lot of noise from above?

Have stayed in one under that deck once. Never again. We always try to have cabins above and below us.  The worse noise happened around 3a.m. as the crew moved chairs around getting ready for the morning crowds.  Never again.

I would think that under the Horizon Court would be quieter than under the pool deck, since the seating area is carpeted. I hope someone who has experienced this offers some insight.

I've read many complaints about noise issues under the pools, buffet, gym, lounges, etc.  Not the Regal, but we have had cabins on a handful of other Princess ships right below the lido deck.  Happily, without any noise or other issues.  In fact, just today we were looking for aft Marina deck cabins on Caribbean Princess.  I don't think of myself as a heavy sleeper, but maybe I am.  Or maybe I'm a light sleeper with bad hearing!  Another frequent complaint is slamming cabin doors.   If I've heard one, it just hasn't registered with me.

Sometimes hearing of an issue might make one more intensely aware of and even develop an expectation.

@Wabashmom Was forward on Marina deck, on Regal, with hot tubs directly above. Certain times of day I would hear lounge chairs being moved around...did not affect my sleep...However, I do prefer to have my cabin below other cabins. Cabin location was assigned to me after a "successful" bid!
