surgie Posted April 10 #1 Share Posted April 10 Sailing Radiance in July. My husband loves a good filet steak. Are they similar/same in quality whether ordered at MDR, Chops or Giovanni's?
Rare A&L_Ont Posted April 10 #2 Share Posted April 10 Typically Chops and Giovanni’s are better, but that’s not to say you could get a bad cut of beef anywhere.

Surprisingly enough, I have found the filet in Giovanni's better than chops and both better than the MDR 8

We've never even eaten at Chops but GT has always been our favorite specialty dinner and I've heard this same opinion from countless people over the years. I also enjoy being able to get a good pasta dish along with my filet.
surgie Posted April 10 Author #6 Share Posted April 10 We have reservations at both Chops and Giovanni's so he can compare.

Wineaux007 Posted April 10 #12 Share Posted April 10 I asked the Maitre'D in the Solarium Bistro on Odyssey what was the difference between his upcharge of $19.90 for a filet and the filet you get in Chops. He said no difference except the one in Chops cost $50.00

The only steak that is included in the MDR that I enjoy is the Beef Tenderloin.

I would also add the filet at the Coco Cay Beach Club is really good too.

Either we have been very..very lucky, but that steak for us is always better (IMHO) than Chops and Giovanni's. Then again, with the kitchen being right there...they would hear it if it were bad. 😮 😄
