Are filet steaks similar in all restaurants?

Sailing Radiance in July. My husband loves a good filet steak. Are they similar/same in quality whether ordered at MDR, Chops or Giovanni's?

Surprisingly enough, I have found the filet in Giovanni's better than chops and both better than the MDR

I agree with you.

We've never even eaten at Chops but GT has always been our favorite specialty dinner and I've heard this same opinion from countless people over the years.

I also enjoy being able to get a good pasta dish along with my filet.

Ditto to that...and cheaper.  😉

Typically Chops and Giovanni’s are better, but that’s not to say you could get a bad cut of beef anywhere.

I think "first night" CK is still the best.  😋

And better yet enjoy it at lunch for less money.

We do the same.   Nice thing to do on a sea day...then simply a lighter dinner later.  🙂

I asked the Maitre'D in the Solarium Bistro on Odyssey what was the difference between his upcharge of $19.90 for a filet and the filet you get in Chops.  He said no difference except the one in Chops cost $50.00

We have reservations at both Chops and Giovanni's so he can compare.

The steaks in MDR are always less quality unless you pay extra ($19.95) for the filet.

The only steak that is included in the MDR that I enjoy is the Beef Tenderloin.

I agree that marinated filet at Giovanni’s is awesome. I would also add the filet at the Coco Cay Beach Club is really good too.

Mmm...indeed.   Either we have been very..very lucky, but that steak for us is always better (IMHO) than Chops and Giovanni's.   Then again, with the kitchen being right there...they would hear it if it were bad.  😮 😄
