B2B booked as one cruise

I'm taking a cruise on the Seashore in June that is two back to back cruises, but it's booked as one cruise.  For anyone that has done this before, do they treat you as if you have two back to back cruises on the turnaround day?  What I mean is do they make you clear the ship or whatever procedure they have you follow when you have two different bookings?  I would love to just sleep in really late, but if I have to get up and out anyway, I may do the Kennedy Space Center tour

Yes, you'll need to get off to zero count the ship and clear immigration.

You can disembark early and go on a trip or you're asked to wait in a lounge, do the off/on after every one else has disembarked.

If you choose to go ashore for the day just let the officer at the gathering point for ‘back to back’ passengers know that you are going ashore for the day. They do that to account for folks going ashore so that they don’t have to search the ship to find you to ‘zero’ the count. You may disembark with the leaving passengers. Just make sure you have your passport (or birth certificates) with you.

I am on the seashore doing the same thing now...

The concierge in YC pointed out to me that my card covered the entire 14 days (see printed dates on card) and I would not be counted as a B2B. He encouraged me to go up to the pool deck and relax while everyone did the Turnaround....

YC back to back guest must do the turnaround as others.  We are on our third week and YC guests are escorted off and back on just as all others as the ship has to be brought to a zero count between cruises. Of course,YC guests are escorted off and back on first.

You were given bad information.

While you won't need a new cruise card, on US sailings you will have to get off the ship so it can be zeroed out for immigration purposes.   On many MSC US cruises lots of people get delayed boarding while the crew searches for people who don't understand this is a necessity for US sailings.

thanks.  But won't they know I'm not on the ship when I badge out?

I can assure you it does happen that zero count is held up looking for regular passenger disembarks AND back to backs that go ashore where the badging out is not recorded perfectly. Yes, there is an also a double check at CPB, but it is helpful to ship and shore staff to have an accurate accountability of back to backs who are going ashore in advance.
