advice to "newbie" if less desirable itinerary change?

Barcelona > Venice > Barcelona B2B-rt Jun 23 > Jul 14 NCL Escape;

 

from reading posts, I gather any port can be changed for any reason

& passengers are NOT to receive compensation due to contract?

note: we are NOT using NCL excursions;

would veteran cruisers advise documenting changes (how?) & later,
or even immediately, "quietly" request some kind of compensation? 
Any advice appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  😇__  😇__  😇

I wouldn't spend one minute worrying about that.

dont bother, you wont get any compensation (of any type) for a change in ports or itinerary. for people cruising, its like an occupational hazard. terms of sailing makes this extremely clear

Please don’t worry about “what if”. “What If” very very rarely happens. 
 

And “if” happens, don’t worry or bother about compensation.

veteran cruisers would tell you that they can make those changes and there is no compensation. If you complain enough they might send you 4 chocolate covered strawberries. That was our compensation for something that happened on one of our cruises. 

 

Agree, you would drive yourself nuts worrying about things outside of your ability to control.  Plan your own excursions and pick companies that either accept payment upon arrival or will refund if the ship misses the port.

Several cruises ago, the Teppanyaki chefs put on a morning program to show off a little and have some audience participation.  They promised a free dinner to those who volunteered.  After they did, they told them they could claim their free dinner at the buffet.🤣

 

I'm guessing you could score that same free dinner for an itinerary change.😎
